==== Page Locked?! ====

== Delete an unneeded page ==

For what reason was the front page locked? These was no reason as far as I know, It needs to be un-locked. On occasion someone might make a new tutorial, or need to fix a typo/add something, and I'd rather not ask a moderator every time I need something edited, I request that the front page is unlocked.
+
Can one of the moderators please delete the following page? Its content was moved to another one so that page is empty and useless now.

::Maybe every 1 out of 30 end up being spam. Why don't we make the news it's own template so that people who are new won't know how to access the template, and so the main page can remain un-locked. I still request that the main page be un-locked.

::: I think the front page should remain protected.  Since I've been here, it's gotten defaced a few times. It's an easy target for trolls and spammers. And it doesn't take long for search engines to grab bad versions of the front page, with tennis shoe ads and whatnot.  However, I do agree on the template idea.  The front page will no longer need to be edited for basic track news updates. --[[User:Jefe|Jefe]] 07:47, 20 October 2011 (CEST)

== Broken download links==

:::: You mean something like [[template:main-news|<nowiki>{{main-news}}</nowiki>]] (I like this idea)
+
I have recently been reuploading broken download links as some of you may have noticed via the recent changes page. At the same time, I also compiled a big list of pages where the download link was down and I didn't happen to have a file on hand. I just wanted to put that list here for all to see. For the benefit of the wiiki, I will put it in a spoiler.
:::: [[User:Hanno|Hanno]] 07:49, 20 October 2011 (CEST)

:::::Yes, just like that. I'd like to edit the front page, I'd like to re-add the MK GP page, because I've been working on GP Mario Beach from scratch and it's looking like the real thing. I'd like the template to be made, and the front page un-locked.
+
Also, I am in no way asking that every single link here should be deleted, I understand that some of these links are historically significant in the Custom Mario Kart community. I'm also not asking to be a moderator for this, I'm just, as they say, raising awareness. If anyone has the files to these downloads please put them in their respective pages too.

::::::You'll find an adequate explanation from [[Tock]] just above.  He also included his reason when he locked it, check the history page.  Regarding the GP page, [[Vulcanus2]] deleted it for a very good reason - there are no finished GP tracks and the page had been idle since May. :::: I allready wanted to do something similiar but i dont know how. I wanted to include the News from "All News" as a template but it should only show up like 5-7 News. When anyone know how to do this i would be glad to include it :P
+

:I have created a '''[[template:main-news|news template]]''' using Hannos link. Perhaps it can be improved later. For the moment it is the best fast solution.
+
:Also, don't forget to remove broken links and add [[:Category:Broken Downloads]] to the page.
:But I have some notes against automatically inclusion of the news archive:
+
:--[[User:Maczkopeti|maczkopeti]] ([[User talk:Maczkopeti|talk]]) 10:19, 29 August 2015 (UTC)
:* There are rarely non distribution news (like a progress notice), that should not appear in the main page.

:* The length of the news are different. For visual aspects it is better a human decides the number of news.

:* If an update of anything comes out a view days after, I removed the previous news independent of the date. I think, the main page should only held one news for each topic, but never more.

== Adding a Custom Track Distribution to Main Page? ==
We currenly have 2 youtube box templates:

{{youtube-box||TS_JctesNb0|Video|}}

{{youtube|TS_JctesNb0||Video}}

Can't we stick to one of then? I don't think anyone likes having two different youtube embed boxes. I think we should only use the youtube-box one, since it looks prettier.<br>

[[User:Igorseabra4|Igorseabra4]] 17:47, 14 May 2011 (CEST)

: I changed the "youtube" template so it has the same layout, and it has support for a description below it. All features of the "youtube-box" are now also in "youtube", the align option doesn't work anymore.

Can anyone (native english speaker) create a good Epilepsy warning, that can be included into ct pages. [[Color Dimension]] is e.g. a track, that shall include this warning.
Wimm, for example, sometimes write wrong track names in his distribution lists, people write many names for the same person (such as Cagnouto and Teknik, or Guil who has 4 names).

And we have some stuff such as Warios Lair and Daisys Garden. I didn't knew that there were many Warios and Daisys around. I thought that those tracks were Wario's and Daisy's, but it looks like there are many of then

:Isn't there already a template for it? → <nowiki>{{seizure warning}}</nowiki> —[[User:Atlas|Atlas]] ([[User talk:Atlas|talk]]) 16:13, 23 December 2016 (UTC)
:I started to collect CT in February 2010. I have different sources in the internet. I Always store names like "ct name RC9 (author) [my comments].szs". All secondary infos (also the wiki track lists) are developed by using this naming (I'm a script king). Because of different sources I found different names and authors of the same tracks and some of them are wrong. In october I found mariokartwii.com and since then I fix the names.

:In december 2010 I developed my first public CT distribution. I decided to insert the authors names as part of the track names. Because of spacing problems (in szs and while printing) I have to shorten the names. One way was to remove the trailing numbers and some other pre- and postfixes because they are not needed to identify the authors.

:Now we have the this wiki and it will help me and others to have unique names for tracks and authors. See it as slow progress. I will rename my files every time I found a (confirmed) mistake.

We should distinguish between authors and wiki users.

Is it possible for us to make an MK7 wiki, like the MK8 and MKWii CT wikis? Just an idea, since CTGP-7 is officially a thing and the modding scene for Mario Kart 7 (and the 3DS in general) is starting to take off. [[User:Aplumafreak500|Aplumafreak500]] ([[User talk:Aplumafreak500|talk]]) 12:29, 19 April 2017 (UTC)
* Authors should have pages in the normal namespace (e.g. page "xyz" for Author "xyz").

* Wiki users have pages un the user namespace (e.g. page "user:xyz" for user "xyz").

* Authors that are also wiki user should/may set a redirect from the authors page to the user page.

* Author links in all articles are made by using <tt><nowiki>[[xyz]]</nowiki></tt> and not using <tt><nowiki>[[user:xyz|xyz]]</nowiki></tt>

: My general view for all articles: Collect the info in one page if if the page grows, split the articles. One idea for texture hacks is to uses sub pages like I have done with my latest distribution: "GCN Bowser Castle/Texture Hacks"

From optical aspects I hate the extension: It looks bad. The layout is almost hardcoded and not css based (egg. width is directly in source) and therefor not modifiable. Did anyone vote?<br/>

=== List Of Custom Tracks Ported From Mario Kart 7? ===
+
I wanted to swap the same file but with a different name but I can't. I tried what it said me to do.

Mario Kart 7 for Nintendo 3DS was just released in Japan on this date, and will be the 2nd for Europe, the 3rd for Australia, and the four for North America. I've heard both rumours of a Nintendo 3DS Emulator for Computers, and 3DS ROM decoders. With these, it could be possible to rip models from these game depending of the Model format it uses, and if this emulator will work with 3D Ripper DX. So, should we create a "List Of Custom Track Ported From Mario Kart 7"? Some courses that requires the use of a Hanglider can use a cannon, or a trick can be done. And then unerwater areas can simply have no collision when the water is touched, allowing you to pass through. And then courses that have only one lap, can have extended finish lines so you can go through it without multiple laps. If so, then the courses should be called, for example "3DS Mario Circuit" or "3DS Rainbow Road", instead of "7 Mario Circuit" or "7 Rainbow Road". Should the page be created?

==New Templates==
+
== 2 Questions about Texture Hack Distribution ==
I set up some new templates a while back.  The [[Template:Misc-Info]] is an all-purpose replacement for [[Template:Custom-Track-Info]] to be used on custom tracks, character hacks and other downloads.  It removes the Video field (videos should be in the media section of a page) adds a second DL field for a primary mirror, and fields for Release Date and Editors Used.  The new template can be phased in gradually; unlike editing the Custom-Track template this breaks nothing.  I've been using the new template for a while, you can see it on my track pages.  If no one has any objections, I will update [[Help:Custom_Track]] and [[Template:Custom-Track]] to include the new format.

I also set up [[Template:Character-Hack]] and [[Help:Character_Hack]].  The help page should be linked on the main page in the '''Track Authors: Use these formats''' box  (The title should probably be '''Adding a New Download? Use These Formats''' now.)  I will also set up a template for fonts [[Template:Custom-Font]] which will need to be added as well.--[[User:Jefe|Jefe]] 18:49, 2 December 2011 (CET)

I thing we should limit the videos for a track. There are some tracks with up to 5 vidoes, that's definitely to much.
+
:For the first one, I don't know, I suggest doing the thing anyways.
;Each major version of a track may have 1 or 2 videos:
+
:For the second one, that depends of the creator of the texture hack. Most are fine with just crediting but few may want permission. --[[User:FancyDoesCustomTracks|FancyDoesCustomTracks]] ([[User talk:FancyDoesCustomTracks|talk]]) 14:13, 23 February 2020 (UTC)
# The first video shall show the track including camera setups. It can be done via offline versus or time trial or a mix of both ( like my video on [[Unnamed Valley]]). Some simple video comments are good for this kind of video.
+
:: The Wiki rules explicitly allow you to include content from the Wiki in your distribution (as long as that's released on the Wiki, too), so there is no need to ask creators for permission as long as the tracks you are using are available on this wiki. -- [[User:Leseratte|Leseratte]] ([[User talk:Leseratte|talk]]) 16:02, 23 February 2020 (UTC)
# A second video is allowed if it shows an online race with at least 6 players. The only reason for this kind of video is to animate others to play online. In my opinion this is the main goal of custom tracks: To have online fun with other players.

All video should have a normed titles without "made by", e.g. "Track Presentation" and "Playing Online"

<br/>[[User:Wiimm|Wiimm]] 21:20, 26 December 2011 (CET)

:I have to agree with this. And requesting changes to them should be done on the talk pages, so that people can deside if the new video is better than the old one (although if the track's updated, then the newer one should replace the older video.) - [[User:Ah2190|Ah2190]], the Master of Nitrous, ([[User talk:Ah2190|Talk page]]) posted at 00:10, 27 December 2011 (CET)

:: I agree Wiimm and Ah2190. But I think that videos who shows bugs must also allowed as third video until the bug is fixed. And if there are more videos, they can be added to a special video page "Track Name/Videos". This makes the main article clean and gives a chance for more videos.

:: [[User:Hanno|Hanno]] 09:28, 27 December 2011 (CET)

:::That's a good point, Hanno. Bugs should be highlighted as known (through the media of video) so that others that find the bug know that it's been found beforehand. Plus, having a video page for tracks with loads of videos is a good idea - that way, submissions for videos can be made there, and that talk page (for example, "Talk:Track Name/Videos") should have the discussion on which two (or three) videos should be included on the main page. - [[User:Ah2190|Ah2190]], the Master of Nitrous, ([[User talk:Ah2190|Talk page]]) posted at 17:34, 27 December 2011 (CET)

=====My Recommendations=====
+
== Help with Brawlbox Character Texture Import ==
* The primary video should be made in VS, Grand Prix or Online mode. It should be "live play" or a replay of GP mode to show replay cameras. It should feature the most recent major revision of the level.

* Secondary videos are permissible but should show a different play mode or an older major revision of the level.

* If the track is a port or remake, a video of the original version is permissible.

* Time Trials should not be used for the primary video or replay video. The opening camera pans, item box placement and enemy kart behavior are all important aspects of a level and do not show up in Time Trials.

* Pages shouldn't be updated just to add BKTs (Best Known Times) and WRs (World Record) videos.

* No more than 3 embedded videos on any custom track page.  Tutorials and Distributions are exceptions.

* Videos of glitches and additional videos should be linked to [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rdgnn-CrbKQ like this] rather than embedded on the page. Glitch videos should be added to a section of the page describing the glitch, [[Rezway#Glitches_in_Rezway_I|like this]].

* The "Track Name/Videos" option can be used, but really should be used for distributions only.  Videos of all the tracks in a distribution should link to a [http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL07253C7B07190900 playlist] on the main page or use plain links to each video rather than embedding 20+ videos on a page.

* The youtube-box template (<nowiki> {{youtube-box|blue left|YoutubeID|Title}}  </nowiki>) should be used instead of the youtube template.  The titles look better in youtube-box.

* Video titles should be kept simple.  ''v1.0 (Online Play)'', ''v1.0 (Replay Cameras)'', etc.  The title should not include the name of the video author, date recorded, etc.

Well, since my Poll Idea went ignored, could we add an HTML Extension Instead? Ther are multiple ways to conduct polls with HTML and CSS, could both be added? Pages could also be made custom, like with Custom Backgrounds or fonts, and I know HTML and CSS too. There are multiple extensions for this, so any could be choosen if this is added. -- [[SuperMario64DS]], 19:59, 10 January 2012 (CET)

: Like the post I made above, this discussion fits better under the talk page for CTGP Revolution. Regardless, I might as well tell you about those stars. Bronze means you have not beaten the easy staff ghost (this one I am not too sure of myself considering I have never gotten this kind of star when I used to set times on a bunch of tracks, but it would probably make the most sense), silver means you beat the easy staff ghost, but not the expert staff ghost, and gold means you beat the expert staff ghost. --[[User:KantoEpic|KantoEpic]] ([[User talk:KantoEpic|talk]]) 05:31, 10 June 2020 (UTC)

:They won't know about us yet. We don't have much time, this is a Serious Issue, SMG2.5 has been getting threatening things already, and we've committed no Piracy. Tock, this is serious. They've started shutting down Sites that distribute Files from Games/Pirated Software/ECT. Places like Sonic Retro are also at risk, and we are too. They may think our own custom (Non-pirated) SZS files are stolen from the game, and we're done for. Tock, is there any way to back up the Wiki??? Broken download links

No download link

Huili (talk) 23:02, 28 August 2015 (UTC)

I already made a hidden category named Category:Misc-Info/No Download, though it doesn't show texture hacks currently; I need to edit that.
Also, don't forget to remove broken links and add Category:Broken Downloads to the page.

Adding a Custom Track Distribution to Main Page?

Hello I have just released a new custom track pack distribution: MiniGeek2000's Custom Track Pack. How is it added to the Main Page list of new releases? Is it controlled by the moderators? --MiniGeek2000 (talk) 17:56, 6 May 2016 (UTC)

Add it to News 2016 -- Wiimm (talk) 18:19, 6 May 2016 (UTC)

Broken Wiiki Themes

User:ALPHAMARIOX tried to change his theme to "Nostalgia", but now he gets HTTP Error 500 upon trying to load any page. I did a small test and it appears the "Classic" theme is also not working.
He needs to be reverted to a working theme. Perhaps MonoBook?
Also, can these broken themes either be removed from the list or be fixed? It's too easy to permanently lock yourself out of the Wiiki by changing your account to a broken theme.
Thanks, --Guilmon35249vr (talk) 21:32, 8 August 2016 (UTC)

Send him this link. It will override the broken theme with the MonoBook theme so he can reset the theme setting.
--maczkopeti (talk) 22:03, 8 August 2016 (UTC)
Awesome. It seems to work. Thanks! --Guilmon35249vr (talk) 23:11, 8 August 2016 (UTC)

Can anyone (native english speaker) create a good Epilepsy warning, that can be included into ct pages. Color Dimension is e.g. a track, that shall include this warning.

Mario Kart 7 Wiki?

Is it possible for us to make an MK7 wiki, like the MK8 and MKWii CT wikis? Just an idea, since CTGP-7 is officially a thing and the modding scene for Mario Kart 7 (and the 3DS in general) is starting to take off. Aplumafreak500 (talk) 12:29, 19 April 2017 (UTC)

There is, at mk7.tock.eu. 3hunts (talk) 19:41, 19 March 2020 (UTC)

Shouldn't the Mario Kart 7 Wiki be listed in the toolbar on the left, since it from Tock? MarkAlbertsma03 (talk) 12:37, 13 August 2020 (UTC)

Deleting another useless page

Hello,

I would like an administrator to delete File:Super Mario Kart Wii Coin Cup.png --MiniGeek2000 (talk) 08:34, 31 May 2017 (UTC)

Standard way is to add »[[category:delete]]« at the end of the article or image description. All so marked pages are here visible: Category:Delete.
-- Wiimm (talk) 10:12, 31 May 2017 (UTC)
The file is in use. See Special:WhatLinksHere/File:Super Mario Kart Wii Coin Cup.png.
--Wexos (Talk | Contribs) 10:17, 31 May 2017 (UTC)
And here you see unused files: Special:UnusedFiles -- Wiimm (talk) 10:56, 31 May 2017 (UTC)
I have unlinked File:Super Mario Kart Wii Coin Cup.png --MiniGeek2000 (talk) 11:43, 31 May 2017 (UTC)

Lost downloads

All of the downloads for my tracks seem to have vanished, and unfortunately I no longer have any of the original files. If anyone has backups, preferably WBZ, please add them back. --SuperMario64DS (talk) 06:47, 19 October 2017 (UTC)

As you can see on the "recent changes" page, I'm already going through the track list, updating all tracks (in alphabetical order) with new download links if the old one is down, but that will take a long while. If you want, you can check Wiimms track archive (http://wiimm.de/r/d/mkw-track-archive) if your tracks are there, and if so, add that link to the track page(s). -- Leseratte (talk) 06:49, 19 October 2017 (UTC)
I wrote the above message blissfully unaware of what had occurred... I lost the files awhile ago and I knew someone created MEGA mirrors, and today I wished to acquire a few of them. Thank you for that resource. --SuperMario64DS (talk) 06:52, 19 October 2017 (UTC)

A "Ghost" Problem

I don't know if this is the place to write this, but I have this problem: I have a SNES Rainbow Road 4 ghost (from CTGP) in my SD Card. The problem is that I don't know how to put it in the MKWII ISO to make the game play it (Dolphin Emulator). What do I do? Rubén (talk) 16:14, 3 December 2017 (UTC)

Changing name of a page

Can someone change the name of the page Super Mario Kart Wii to Super Mario Kart Wii (MiniGeek2000) --MiniGeek2000 (talk) 13:58, 11 February 2018 (UTC)

You can change it from the "move" tab at the top of the page. --Caron (talk) 15:24, 11 February 2018 (UTC)
Move it, then edit all pages that link to it by checking this.

Mixed up talk page

The talk page on Talk:DS Shroom Ridge contains a small section relevant to the article that used to be on that page, DS Shroom Ridge (SuperMario64DS). However, the first entry on the subsection is dually relevant - it specifies my version, but in relation to its time on the article titled DS Shroom Ridge. So I have two questions - first, should this small section of the talk page be moved to Talk: DS Shroom Ridge (SuperMario64DS), and second, if so, should the first part relevant to the article title stay behind? --SuperMario64DS (talk) 06:46, 7 August 2018 (UTC)

Porting TF2 Files into Mario Kart Wii?

I apologize if this isn't the right place to ask this :/ I am new to making custom tracks, and I was thinking of turning the track used in the Duck Collectors minigame in TF2 into a map. However, IDK how I would port it from the source files inside my TF2 folder into the game itself. Is it even possible? Also, how do I go about porting the textures? --Unsigned comment by 404 (talk).

A File that I am need to replace

Hello,

I need someone to delete this file: File:Boo.png

I wanted to swap the same file but with a different name but I can't. I tried what it said me to do.

It would be very much appreciated. --MiniGeek2000 (talk) 17:10, 26 June 2019 (UTC)

What exactly are you trying to do? If you want to upload a new version of that file, click "Upload a new version of this file". If you want to rename it, click "Move". What's the problem? -- Leseratte (talk) 17:12, 26 June 2019 (UTC)

I was trying to upload a file with a different name which looks exactly the same as the Boo.png with a different name. The website detected it to be identical to said file and I was trying to find a way to delete it.--MiniGeek2000 (talk) 17:23, 26 June 2019 (UTC)

Well then why do you need to reupload it if it is identical? Why not use the existing name, or move the file to its new name? -- Leseratte (talk) 17:25, 26 June 2019 (UTC)
I wanted to make it a name for a cup but someone else has used a file with the name I was going to intentionally use so I named it Boo.png then I tried naming it with the name of my custom track pack with the name MiniGeek2000's Custom Track Pack Boo Cup.png because I wanted to have the name Boo Cup displayed on my custom track distribution without having to deal with any file conflicts. I was trying to rename the file but I don't know how to do it.--MiniGeek2000 (talk) 17:50, 26 June 2019 (UTC)
I moved the file name to its new name like you told me. This move to a new name feature I didn't see at first but thanks for helping me.--MiniGeek2000 (talk) 18:01, 26 June 2019 (UTC)

2 Questions about Texture Hack Distribution

Hello, I wanted to release my own Texture Hack Distribution but I have two concerns about it.

1. Can I release the texture pack with no announcement whatsoever?

2. Do I need to ask permission from the creator of the texture hack of that track?

Thanks in advance! and sorry If I posted this in the wrong place to ask. --SnorgUp (talk) 09:46, 23 February 2020 (UTC)

For the first one, I don't know, I suggest doing the thing anyways.
For the second one, that depends of the creator of the texture hack. Most are fine with just crediting but few may want permission. --FancyDoesCustomTracks (talk) 14:13, 23 February 2020 (UTC)
The Wiki rules explicitly allow you to include content from the Wiki in your distribution (as long as that's released on the Wiki, too), so there is no need to ask creators for permission as long as the tracks you are using are available on this wiki. -- Leseratte (talk) 16:02, 23 February 2020 (UTC)

Help with Brawlbox Character Texture Import

I am making a custom character model by importing a DAE into Brawlbox. The geometry is fine, but I can't get the textures to work. There are multiple materials in the DAE, and in Brawlbox they are all there, but only one of the materials will show. Is there anyone who is willing to help me out on this? --ecumber (talk) 03:04, 16 May 2020 (UTC)

I remember dealing with a similar issue with the lack of materials, but this was a while ago and I do not remember how I fixed it.
Also, I think the talk page for BrawlBox would be more appropriate than here. Just to let you know. --KantoEpic (talk) 07:29, 16 May 2020 (UTC)
Alright, should I remove this and put it in the BrawlBox talk page? Ecumber (talk) 04:02, 17 May 2020 (UTC)
I would not worry about that. Just leave it. --KantoEpic (talk) 04:58, 17 May 2020 (UTC)

Custom Music Distribution Page?

Since more and more people are making music distributions, shouldn't there be a wiiki page for it? 3hunts (talk) 19:34, 3 June 2020 (UTC)

Cedric made one yesterday. You can find it here. It needs a lot of work, considering there is a bunch of custom music distributions that never made it on this website. --KantoEpic (talk) 22:26, 3 June 2020 (UTC)
Shouldn't it be on the front page then? 3hunts (talk) 01:09, 4 June 2020 (UTC)
I will try to get input from the other staff members. --KantoEpic (talk) 01:35, 4 June 2020 (UTC)

Feel free to release it, Mark. Just follow this on the bottom of the main page and make the article for your distribution. --KantoEpic (talk) 02:41, 8 June 2020 (UTC)
Alright thanks I'll get to it. :) MarkAlbertsma03 (talk) 06:27, 8 June 2020 (UTC)

CTGP-R Bug Tracker

Is there a CTGP-R bug tracker? MarkAlbertsma03 (talk) 02:46, 9 June 2020 (UTC)

Not that I know of. This fits better under the CTGP Revolution talk page, just for future reference. --KantoEpic (talk) 05:31, 10 June 2020 (UTC)

CTGP Bronze, silver and gold stars

What are the conditions to get these? MarkAlbertsma03 (talk) 05:23, 10 June 2020 (UTC)

Like the post I made above, this discussion fits better under the talk page for CTGP Revolution. --KantoEpic (talk) 05:31, 10 June 2020 (UTC)
Thanks for answering! Next time ill head to the CTGP talk page. MarkAlbertsma03 (talk) 07:12, 10 June 2020 (UTC)

Double naming of pages

Hi, I just made a Gold Mario texture with an additional .brsar-file so Gold Mario actually sounds like him. There are already two versions and I now don't know what to name the page because the correct name for this texture hack is already taken. Can anybody help me with that? MarkAlbertsma03 (talk) 06:55, 19 July 2020 (UTC)

Seems like Cederic did not rename the page for iSlime's mod. Regardless, your mod would be named "Gold Mario (MarkAlbertsma03)" without the quotation marks. --KantoEpic (talk) 13:32, 19 July 2020 (UTC)

Contradictory rules

Looking at the template, which is above every month's news entry. It's the green attention box. Anyway, the 1st and 3rd rule of Posting rules are contradictory rules, as it is not clear which newsitem goes on top. Do newer entries go on top or older ones? Here's a link --> Template:News Month 08 --Unsigned comment by MarkAlbertsma03 (talk).

The first rule refers to the actual dates; the third rule refers to the news entries. It does not have the best wording, but it is not contradictory. --KantoEpic (talk) 06:05, 14 August 2020 (UTC)

MBRSTM Files

Hi Tockdom users! Can the MBRSTM music files have musics of different lengths and/or different loop points in different channels? Enjoy Funky Kong dancing and peace! (talk) 10:04, 14 February 2021 (UTC)

The multi channels can have different music, but the loop points have to stay the same for all of the channels. This is a good tutorial on how to make one. If you want different music for each channel, follow this tutorial. It does explain it via the menu music, but it'll work the same for your type of music. 🏁_____🌲______🚗_____🌳 Krummers (talk) 11:04, 14 February 2021 (UTC)
Math Warning There is a way. If you make the .wav files loop until the lowest common multiple of the end loop point of each file minus their start loop points plus the latest start loop point, it will work. You can make the .brstm file loop from the latest start loop point to the lowest common multiple of the end loop point of each file minus their start loop points plus the latest start loop point. E.g. one file's start loop is at 5 seconds and its end is at 30 seconds, the other's start is at 15 seconds and its end is at 60 seconds, the start loop point would be the latest start loop point (15 seconds) and the end loop point would be the lowest common multiple of the end loop point plus the latest start loop point (LCM of (30-5) and (60-15)+15»LCM of (25) and (45)+15»225+15»240). End of Math Warning Enjoy Funky Kong dancing and peace! 13:51, 8 December 2021 (UTC)

Custom Game Modes and Custom Vehicles

Hi Tockdom users! I think we should make a page that lists all of the game modes (e.g. 9.0x Speed Pack, 999,999cc, Hypersonic Kart Wii, etc.) and one that lists all of the vehicles (custom and retro Mario Kart Vehicles). Table of Contents Oddity

why do some pages like Wario's Collapsing Castle have numbers next to all the sections? --lol zilly 02:17, 17 August 2021 (UTC)

It’s something you can turn on and off in preferences, but it also happens on some random pages like this. I think it’s a glitch when it happens randomly. Enjoy Funky Kong dancing and peace! (Talk) 03:15, 17 August 2021 (UTC)
I do not know what causes it, but I personally don't believe it's at random. Fortunately, pages can have this issue fixed by adding "__NOTOC__". I'd encourage adding this on any page that has this issue. Bruh de la Boi (talk) 03:21, 17 August 2021 (UTC)
Actually, do not do this. I didn't realize that it removes the actual table of contents. My mistake. :P Bruh de la Boi (talk) 14:11, 17 August 2021 (UTC)
I doubt there is a direct cause. For the few times I have encountered this, it happened on random pages. I remember dealing with a similar problem before, except some text on the website changed to a different language despite English remaining enabled in my preferences. --KantoEpic (talk) 04:02, 17 August 2021 (UTC)
Since this happened on a discussion page for me, I feel there is no real cause for this oddity. --KantoEpic (talk) 05:13, 17 August 2021 (UTC)
I have encountered this bug with numbers displaying on the left next to the sections in the past recently too, considering the fact I seen it happen on the Inside the Dreambow and CTGP Revolution/Track Wishlist pages before. I believe it is some kind of bug that is on the wiiki and it happens occasionally at random sometimes.--PeachKia52250vr (talk) 07:20, 17 August 2021 (UTC)
