Overview
Torrential Flood Lake is Bri911's first custom track. It features a rising water level that eventually covers one-third of the track. The racers start in a lower area that will eventually be fully submerged by the water. After some time, they will be forced to make their way onto a boardwalk to avoid the dangerous water hazard. The race will typically end on the bridge right beside the lower area.
Random Scenarios
In January of 2021, the author released a complete remake of this track from scratch. The biggest new feature is the changing water behavior between playthroughs thanks to eight random scenarios. A total of 53 objects in the KMP file use extended presence flags.
- Default: Water slowly rises until the entire lower section is flooded over with out of bounds.
- Slow: Similar to scenario one, but the lower section is two-thirds flooded over, not entirely. Slightly slower.
- Drought: Stagnant venice_nami that does not cover the lower section at all.
- Oscillating: Uses Psea. Covers half of the lower section.
- Flash Flood: Quickly rises until entire lower section is covered in out of bounds before the end of the first lap.
- Torrential: The tide is extremely wild (and pretty fast). Can allow early driving on lower road, but eventually rises higher than any other scenario.
- Fast: Similar to scenario one, but rises slightly faster.
- Risky: Similar to scenario two, but rises a little bit farther up. It covers about 90% of the lower section.
A "readme" file in the downloads for v2.0 onward details specific information about the usage of these objects.
Slot Information
It is recommended to put this track on slot 5.1 because of some object sounds.
Credits
- lemurboy12, for providing the model of Toady from Mario Party 5.
