HD's Retro Pack is a custom track distribution made by a few members of High Definition, a Mario Kart community. The pack was originally planned to be private, however was put up here if anyone ever showed interest in trying it out. The pack was created by mainly [[Rookie]], [http://youtube.com/user/kingdecimator69 King Decimator] and [http://youtube.com/user/speed64demon Speed Demon], however [[ChaosShadow23]] helped on the project as well. The purpose of the pack is to provide some of the best and most memorable tracks that Nintendo has created in past Mario Kart games, and putting them all into 1 game. So if you're one of those people who dislikes a lot of the CTs in CTGPR, or simply someone who wants more of a Mario Kart feel with the original track music as well, maybe you'd be interested in trying the pack out. Unlike your typical CT distribution, a few tracks still in normal Mario Kart Wii. Retro just goes with the bulk of the tracks and the general theme of Nintendo made tracks. Some normal MKW tracks (6) were chosen to be included simply because the creators find them to be good to be left out from a Nintendo track themed distribution as well. The update was simply to polish things, not much was changed. There's now 10 battle stages, and a few extra past music tracks added for stuff like winning a race. The pack runs through the new version of CTGPR v1.03, using the MyStuff folder, found in your ctgpr folder on the root of your SD card. Make sure to have 'Automatic BRSAR Patching' and 'MyStuff' "ON" on the channel settings when playing, and to have 'Custom Tracks' set "OFF".

The purpose of the pack is to provide some of the best and most memorable tracks that Nintendo has created in past (and future) Mario Kart games, and putting them all into 1 game. So if you're one of those people who dislikes a lot of the custom tracks in CTGP-R, or simply someone who wants more of a Mario Kart feel with new fanmade track music remixes as well, maybe you'd be interested in trying the pack out. The pack runs independently through Riivolution. XMLs are included in the download. You must extract the ZIP from the download to the root of your SD card to use. Special thanks to ChaosShadow and Torran for coding help, as well as all music remixers and CT creators whose content is used in the mod. Enjoy the pack!
