Overview

τ-Cryovolcano (also known as Tau-Cryovolcano) is a custom track created by Strobenz. It is set in an extraterrestrial grassland near a cryovolcano which erupts and freezes everything around it, and it is the first custom track to implement a fully custom vertex morph animation, used on the cryovolcanic eruption that happens at around 54 seconds after the race begins. Also, it is the second track in the Chronocup, a fictional cup designed by the author.

Custom track distribution authors are encouraged to include the track with its original title which uses the greek letter τ.

Credits

• bugsy, for the white arrow texture.
• Echo, for the idea of transforming all off-road into slippery road, which ended up playing a big role in the track's gameplay.

v1.3-hotfix	2023-12-16	Removed horizontal wall triangle on the wooden ramp shortcut. Smoothened transition between frozen road textures.
v1.3-hotfix2	2024-02-29	Improved item routes. Optimized KCL. Fixed KCL hole. The freezing process now begins three seconds earlier.
