Overview
Dust II is a map from the Counter-Strike series.[1] It was made into a Mario Kart Wii custom track by SpartaYoshi, making it his second custom track overall. This originally started as a port of the original map from the first game (known as "de_dust2"), which had been converted into a SketchUp 3D model by Abdullah Özköse (which can be found here). The track had been developed through SketchUp up until version Beta 1, where the software of choice has been switched to Blender. Since then, the custom track model development has been reset and started from scratch (with the original port as the base), discarding all implementations and adaptations made in Pre-Alpha 3 and Alpha 1.
Versions prior to v1.0 serve as testing prototypes. Alpha 1 and v1.0 are the only two versions where textures are not broken on console due to their proper texture sizes. Beta versions suffer from this issue due to the model development reset. Moreover, their tests were performed on Dolphin, where, despite their broken resolutions, the textures would display correctly.
