Thank you for joining the Custom Mario Kart Wiiki!

Before you get started, Click here to read the Rules page.

Keep the following in mind as you contribute to the site:

  • Make good edits. Always use the SHOW PREVIEW button to check your changes before you use the SAVE button. If you make a mistake, wait 15 minutes before saving the same page a third or fourth time in a row.
  • Saving lots of edits without PREVIEWING will get the moderators on your case, and can get you banned from the Wiiki.
  • If you plan to update a lot of pages in a short period of time, please clear it with a moderator first.
  • Write articles in third person (using words like he, she and they) instead of first person (I, me and we.) User pages and talk pages are the exceptions to this rule.
  • Use correct grammar, spelling and capitalization.
  • If someone posts on your talk page, please post a reply.
  • Sign all of your posts on talk pages with four tildes (~~~~). This will turn into your name and the time you wrote the comment.
  • Don't delete anything from your talk page.
  • Use the Templates on the Main Page when making new articles for content such as Custom Tracks, Texture Hacks, Characters and other releases.
  • We encourage all content makers to create a User Link to put on their release pages and to add it to the Author List.

About correcting translations

Hi, I saw that you changed a few Dutch translations. Please keep in mind that in some cases it is not possible to use a literal translation for tracks and that a bit of creativity might be used to come up with a couple of existing translations. Personally I'm not the hugest fan of how you do some translations, but I'm fine with it because you're doing a great job filling the blanks, but in existing cases it's sometimes better to ask yourself the question if a correction is actually needed. 'Kleur Wonderland' sounds better than 'Kleuren Wonderland' for example, and also fits the English name better. In the past I have done a lot of translations as well, and in many cases I used the name in a different language as inspiration, since the English translation didn't sound great. In some cases that too leads to the Dutch name not entirely matching the literal English name, but it's done with a reason.
--kHacker35000vr (talk) 20:14, 23 August 2020 (UTC)

I'll stop trying to translate the track names literally and try to add some creativity in the mix. Your example above however, I think the second name fits better. MarkAlbertsma03 (talk) 06:30, 24 August 2020 (UTC)

Auto Patrol

Hi. Considering you have been active lately, I changed your group membership to "Auto Patrol." I think you would be a good fit for it. --KantoEpic (talk) 22:30, 8 September 2020 (UTC)

Thank you very much! I'll try to improve the wiki every single day! MarkAlbertsma03 (talk) 04:38, 9 September 2020 (UTC)

You are probably unaware of how auto patrolling works. If you see a red "!" near an edit, it has not been patrolled. To patrol it, check the revision and mark the edit as "patrolled." --KantoEpic (talk) 06:18, 10 September 2020 (UTC)

I don't see red ! anywhere. Not on recent changes, or special logs. Can you make a picture or something so I can see where they should show up? I have to go to school now so I probably won't react to this for a couple of hours. MarkAlbertsma03 (talk) 06:23, 10 September 2020 (UTC)
I patrolled every edit up until now. They show up on the Recent changes page. The closest thing I could find is this, since I already patrolled edits for tonight, but it works exactly the same for this website. --KantoEpic (talk) 06:33, 10 September 2020 (UTC)
I know why those exclamation marks don't show up at my account. I looked at the user group rights and you added me to the Auto_Patrol group. This means only my own edits are automatically auto patrolled. I can't patrol others edits. Moderators and higher ranks can mark others edits as auto patrolled. MarkAlbertsma03 (talk) 13:39, 10 September 2020 (UTC)
I always thought the role meant something else. I will remove it from you in that case. --KantoEpic (talk) 14:54, 10 September 2020 (UTC)
I will re-add the role if you continue to make consistent edits and you are active. You are getting there. --KantoEpic (talk) 15:00, 10 September 2020 (UTC)

Trial Moderator Role

Hi. Would you be up to be a trial moderator? Considering we could use a few more members on the Wiiki staff, I think you would be a decent candidate. --KantoEpic (talk) 06:27, 12 October 2020 (UTC)

I'd love to help out! MarkAlbertsma03 (talk) 06:54, 12 October 2020 (UTC)
Alright. I have given you the role. If you continue to be active and make consistently good edits within one week from now, I will make you a moderator. --KantoEpic (talk) 14:17, 12 October 2020 (UTC)

RE: Shaun the Sheep

Rigging is the process of making the model use the bones from MKWii, so in that case you'd be correct with that. Trainiax/SwampyGator (talk) 16:09, 13 October 2020 (UTC)

Ah, alright, thanks! πŸ˜ƒ MarkAlbertsma03 (talk) 16:15, 13 October 2020 (UTC)

Introducing Users

Quick reminder that you do not / should not introduce the rules to a new user if they have not made a single edit on the Wiki yet.
You are free to do so after they have made an edit of course. I was told this by Kanto himself, so just try to remember.
-- Jasperr β˜… Talk 11:26, 21 September 2020 (NZST)

Alright, I'll check next time if they have made any contributions. πŸ˜ƒ MarkAlbertsma03 (talk) 07:06, 21 October 2020 (UTC)

Moderator

I have moved you up from a trial moderator to a moderator, as you continued to make good edits consistently and you are active. --KantoEpic (talk) 02:32, 24 October 2020 (UTC)

Thank you! πŸ˜ƒ MarkAlbertsma03 (talk) 04:37, 24 October 2020 (UTC)

Re: Koncentraitor44 account abuse

Dear MarkAlbertsma03,

This is Cuke // Koncentraitor, I am sorry of implementing a multiple account abuse towards this site, I was unaware of the rule against that, My sincerest apologies as I was too impatient of changing my username, I will be re-reading the rules for the site (wiki.tockdom.com) and will not make the same mistake again.

Sorry, but thanks for correcting me. - Avery --Koncentraitor (talk) 19:37, 25 January 2021 (UTC)

Thanks for your cooperation. Also, please sign your messages with four tildes (~~~~) 🏁_____🌲______πŸš—_____🌳 Krummers (talk) 19:35, 25 January 2021 (UTC)

Torrential Flood Lake Bug

Hey, I see you found a bug on Torrential Flood Lake. Do you happen to recall any observations you made with what happened when the water was still? It could help me locate the bug because I haven't seen it yet myself. Is there a problem with the water in the six scenarios that aren't "Drought" and "Oscillating"? To provide context, there is one scenario called "Drought" which purposely does not have a rising venice_nami, and another called "Oscillating" which uses a Psea (which looks different) that doesn't rise. Thanks for your time. --Bri911 (talk) 02:17, 11 February 2021 (UTC)

Something I realised after waking up: the clouds never loaded in too. I remember it because I could take the shortcut into the cave all three laps. From the beginning, the clouds didn't move (because they hadn't loaded in) and the water level just stayed put. My race took about two minutes, but the water level never actually started rising. It's not that much information, but I hope this helps! 🏁_____🌲______πŸš—_____🌳 Krummers (talk) 06:00, 11 February 2021 (UTC)
That sounds a lot like the random scenario I called "Drought". In that one scenario, the water purposely doesn't rise and doesn't have any clouds. To double check, I tested all eight scenarios with LE-CODE (single player, 2 players, and 3 players offline VS) on an actual Wii. What you experienced only happened to me when the board highlighted the "Drought" rectangle. None of the other scenarios yielded what you described. The "Drought" scenario (although weird since the purpose of the track is to have the water rise) is supposed to work that way. I believe what you saw was not actually a bug but just a specific scenario. On a random side note, the rotating part of the windmill is purposely disabled in splitscreen, which is also weird-looking. I don't know if you noticed that as well, but I wouldn't blame you at all for thinking there is a bug since those two features feel a little off. I will remove the bug notice on the page Torrential Flood Lake unless something else arises that I've missed. I appreciate that you posted the bug report in the first place because my LE-CODE testing strategies are probably not that optimal anyway. --Bri911 (talk) 01:54, 12 February 2021 (UTC)
I think that would have probably been the cause. I guess I got confused by the fact that the water wasn't moving. 🏁_____🌲______πŸš—_____🌳 Krummers (talk) 06:28, 12 February 2021 (UTC)

Nintendo Remasters CTGP Revolution files

Hello ! Where I'm supposed to put the ctgp-revolution users file pls ? --Unsigned comment by DjΓ©zonne (talk).

You can put all of those files in your My Stuff folder on your SD card. (Filepath: SD/ctgpr/My Stuff) 🏁_____🌲______πŸš—_____🌳 Krummers (talk) 15:00, 25 February 2021 (UTC)

Translations

Why did you remove the translation boxes on the track edits? Other track edits pages have them too. KiwiPowerGreen (talk) 09:09, 1 March 2021 (UTC)

Only texture hacks and track edits that are included in a distribution get translations. 🏁_____🌲______πŸš—_____🌳 Krummers (talk) 09:15, 1 March 2021 (UTC)
ok. thanks. sorry for wasting your time with you having to revert all these edits KiwiPowerGreen (talk) 09:54, 1 March 2021 (UTC)
No worries! 🏁_____🌲______πŸš—_____🌳 Krummers (talk) 10:05, 1 March 2021 (UTC)

Mario Kart Fun

Please don't replace Riivolution Generator. My distributions don't come with Riivolution, but with a generator that creates a Riivolution setup. -- Wiimm (talk) 12:15, 31 March 2021 (UTC)

I changed it back now. Krummers(#1936) (talk) 12:41, 31 March 2021 (UTC)

A Small Course 3

Why are you removing the corrections? Enjoy Funky Kong dancing and peace! (talk) 12:21, 2 April 2021 (UTC)

They aren't corrections. Krummers(#1936) (talk) 12:21, 2 April 2021 (UTC)
What do you mean? The word authors/author’s is supposed to have an apostrophe (it’s possessive). Enjoy Funky Kong dancing and peace! (talk) 12:24, 2 April 2021 (UTC)
But that's not the original description. Krummers(#1936) (talk) 12:27, 2 April 2021 (UTC)
Oh, okay. I just found another mistake. Just saying. Enjoy Funky Kong dancing and peace! (talk) 12:29, 2 April 2021 (UTC)

Missing Dutch translation

Hi, since I noticed that almost every track has a Dutch translation, I thought it might be a good idea to report that SSBB Mario Circuit (AwesomeToad) does not have one. -- Cealgair (talk|contribs) 13:27, 25 April 2021 (UTC)

Thanks for informing me. Krummers(#1936) (talk) 14:14, 25 April 2021 (UTC)

N64 Double Deck (KiwiPowerGreen)

The track crashes on both Dolphin and console, so wouldn't it need to be written down for that it crashes on Dolphin too? -- KiwiPowerGreen (talk) 08:16, 12 May 2021 (UTC)

It would be necessary yes. Krummers(#1936) (talk) 08:27, 12 May 2021 (UTC)
