Special Features

Below are listed special features that are included in this distribution:

Game Features
Feature Author Information
LE-CODE Leseratte, Wiimm This distribution uses the LE-CODE game extension developed by Leseratte and Wiimm.
Countdown Mode Beta8 Mod MrBean35000vr, Kazuki The main purpose of the modification is to set different time limits for each custom track using course.lex files. If there is no course.lex file or the time limit is not set, then 2:30 (150 seconds) is used as the time limit.
Custom Menu System Chadderz This distribution makes use of custom menus to load custom track slots. The cup selection menu is modified with two buttons featuring arrows to the left and right of the main cups. When selected, these buttons cause the current on-screen cup buttons to be replaced with other cups, including custom cups, creating a scrolling menu system. All custom tracks are stored inside custom cups.
Custom Server Support Wiimm, Leseratte Support to play on a custom Mario Kart Wii server has been added as a replacement to Nintendo WFC.
Max Lap Count Modifier Geeh, MrEvil A track can have anywhere between one and eight laps.
Speed Modifier MrBean35000vr Tracks have a speed modifier applied (e.g. 2× speed) which causes all parts of the game's physics to move at the increased speed (including vehicles, items and boosts).
Wi-Fi Time Limit Expansion Chadderz This distribution modifies the race time limit on Wi-Fi. It has been expanded from five minutes to 5:40, allowing longer tracks to be entered and played through to completion. The game has another hard limit of 5:56 before it disconnects everyone, so it is impractical to increase the time beyond 5:40, as the time advances even when looking at leaderboards. If 5:40 is reached, the distribution forces you past the leaderboards quickly to avoid disconnection.
Wi-Fi Timer Chadderz, Thed0ra7z The countdown timer on the Wi-Fi voting screen is always shown. The time allocated is 30 seconds.
My Stuff Folder Allows users to replace certain files with their own, allowing for custom textures, among other things. This distribution has its own My Stuff folder, along with the options for the CTGP Revolution My Stuff folders.
SD Card Savegame Allows users to save their game on their SD Card, rather than the Wii's NAND.
Extended Regions Atlas Support for custom in-game flags and texts to regions that are not available originally in Mario Kart Wii. They can be seen by other players running the distribution.
Lap Texture Fix Wingcapman This mod fixes the lap counters so that the ninth lap will show correctly, as well as a fix for the lap textures shown on the Time Trial results screen to show all laps (including the ones beyond lap three).
Don't Hide Position After Race MrBean35000vr Prevents the game from hiding the position tracker after the race ends. Useful to instantly know your actual finishing position (which might differ due to lag).
Track Music Expander CLF78 Different music can be applied for each track (including Nintendo tracks) on CT-CODE and LE-CODE-based distributions.
Automatic BRSAR Patching Elias_ The revo_kart.brsar file will now be automatically patched to prevent music from cutting off mid-race.
Change Characters Between Wi-Fi Races MrBean35000vr When in online play, the player's character, vehicle and drift mode choice may be changed between races by pressing + or START (depending on your controller) when on the VR screen. This simply takes the player back to the character select menu and then returns them to the vote when they have reselected. If the time limit expires, the currently selected options are taken.
Draggable Blue Shells Luis Blue Shells can now be held behind you like Green and Red Shells. They will explode on contact, but not hurt the player. They can be used to protect against other items being shot from behind, but if wheelie-bumped while holding a Blue Shell behind you, it will fall away and disappear. Only one Blue Shell can exist at once, so even when it is held out behind you, it will be impossible for anyone else to get one from an item box.
Remove Game Music CosmoCourtney Disables all music, using a modified version of Music Speed Modifier. This option is toggleable.
Faster Menu Navigation east Speeds up menu navigations. This version works online. This option is toggleable.
Force Battle Bug/Glitch XeR The Battle Bug/Glitch is on automatically all the time, no need to do a quick battle. This option is toggleable.
Mii Heads on Minimap JoshuaMK The player's Mii head will appear on the minimap instead of their character's icon, excluding CPUs. This option is toggleable.
Extended Region Color Kazuki In addition to red, blue, green, yellow, white, and purple, the colors black, orange and light blue have been added to the online nametag colors.
CTGP Revolution Speedometer Replica stebler, mkw-sp contributors, MrBean35000vr, Kazuki Adds the speedometers from CTGP Revolution. These can be customized by editing Race.szs file.
Mario Kart Channel Button Sends to Riivolution Vega, Kazuki The Mario Kart Channel button will now send you back to Riivolution. If Riivolution is not installed, it sends you to the System Menu.
Fix for BRSTMs with Fewer Audio Tracks stebler BRSTM files with less audio tracks than the track slot requires will no longer cut off mid-race.
Mii Icon Override Kazuki This code replaces a Mii specified by Mii ID with a specific icon.
Set User Favorite Combo Kazuki Sets the default combo to the most used character and vehicle for the upper-left license. If the upper-left license is empty, the upper-right license is used; if the upper-right license is also empty, the lower-left license is used; if the lower-left license is also empty, the lower-right license is used. Miis are excluded.
Track Music Speedup on Final Lap Melg, MrBean35000vr, CLF78 Automatically creates sped-up final lap music for tracks without _F files.
