Overview
Heart of China is Wingcapman's first custom track. It was not originally designed as a race track, so it is quite similar to ports of other non-race track levels in that it does not have a clearly defined layout. This track is based on a story written by the author. Normally, there is not a race path for this area, but he decided to make a Mario Kart Wii race-compatible track of it.

Ever since Heart of China was showcased and eventually published, many Mario Kart Wii players and people outside the community were very confused about the connection between the track's name and the language that is being used inside the track's design.
The creator had to jump in to explain why the track's name seems to show that it is located in China, but the text inside its design is Japanese:
