The '''Wiimmfi Patcher''' is a program created by [[Wiimm]]. It patches the server adresses in the game to play on [[Wiimmfi]].

To patch an Image for the new server, you have to download Wiimms patching tool from his website:

# Extract the content of the patcher to any folder.
Both patchers support also the ALTWFC/DWC server.

# Copy all images you want to patch into this folder.
 +
# Windows users should start the <code>create-image.bat</code> script, and Linux/Mac users should start the <code>create-image.sh</code> script.
 +
# Once complete, the new images will be in the <code>wiimmfi-images</code> folder, unless the patcher specifies otherwise.

Your Wii needs Homebrew, and you need an USB-Loader to dump an image of Mario Kart Wii onto an USB-Stick or USB-Drive.

You should take care about the following when using a patched image:

* If you want to keep one of your old profiles, you should first connect with one of those. It may lead to problems with your old profiles if you first generate a new one.

* You can only use your old profiles. if the server knows the related nickname. To enable your old profile, you can:

** enter your Friend code into the [http://wiimmfi.profeibe.at web formula] (only works if you had registered friends on the official server)

** start the [http://maschell.de/pidtool.zip homebrew app] to dump the needed data out of the savegame.

* If you get error 60000, then you are trying to connect with an unknown profile. Wait a day, because the server database is only updated twice per day.

* If you get an error code starting with 23XXX, look here: http://wiimmfi.de/error
