This version of MKW-Fun will be released in November 2022 as predecessor of MKW-Fun 2022-05. It will use the latest version of LE-CODE which supports random texture hacks.

Random Texture Hacks

10 texture hacks are included for each of the 32 original tracks and up to 10 for the original battle arenas. These random texture hacks cannot be selected directly. Instead, when selecting an original track or arena, a texture hack is randomly selected (the original track is excluded). This is a new feature as of LE-CODE build 34. This feature can be deactivated by a player using the D-PAD Cheats.

For this purpose, Wiimm tested all candidates and pre-selects the tracks. Exclusion criteria are things like texture flicker, moire effect, seizure, too bright, too dark, too similar, photos, poor visibility of objects and off-road, and of course Wiimm's opinion. For slots with few candidates, tracks are more likely to be accepted. If more than 10 tracks are available for a slot (true for all racing tracks, but not for battle arenas), 10 of them will be selected at random when the distribution is created. This statistic provides an overview of the tracks already selected. Each of these tracks has the attribute »4mkwfun« as identification.

Tournaments

Since December 2010, the current MKW-Fun has been played every Wednesday evening. Since 2012 there has been a second tournament on Thursday. At the moment both tournaments are held in versus region 149. They always start at 7:30 p.m. CET (German time). In summer the time corresponds to 17:30 UTC and in winter to 18:30 UTC.
