Super Mario Kart Wii was the first remake created by Larry98 and ABR Speed in 2013. It was one of the first distributions which used the Lap Modifier. Over the following years, the project got a lot of improvements. After long breaks over the last months, Larry98 finally decided to release it in 2017. Only some things are needed for completion. The hack also has something special, which will be shared on a later date.

Overview
SMKW was the first remake created by Horsti12 and ABR Speed in 2013. Unfortunately the file from the beta version from 2013 is lost because rapidshare closed they server. Horsti12 continue working on an Update 2013, but he decided to do Mario Kart: Double Dash!! Wii first. After long breaks he finally started working on a Update in 2015. Than he stopped again and now he want to finish the update in 2016. Some cool new features are currently secret so please look forward for updates!

Game Features

Game Features
Feature Code Author Information
Wiimmfi Wiimm, Leseratte You can play Super Mario Kart with other players around the world.
Change Characters Between WFC Races MrBean35000vr When in online play, the player's character, vehicle and drift mode choice may be changed between races by pressing + on the wiimote (or start on the GCN controller) when on the VR screen. This simply takes the player back to the character select menu, and then returns them to the vote when they have reselected. If the time limit expires, the currently selected options are taken.
Random Track Selection Chadderz When in CTWW mode, picking random will allow the game to select a custom track based on a number provided by the game's RNG system. It can also be triggered by pressing + or Start (depending on your controller), and may be used offline to randomly select a track to play on.
Wi-Fi Timer Chadderz The countdown timer on the Wi-Fi voting screen is always shown now, rather than just when you're about to run out of time. This can give you a better idea of how long you have to make a decision when voting. The time allocated is 30 seconds.
Wi-Fi Time Limit Expansion Chadderz This distribution makes a modification to the race time limit on Wiimmfi. It has been expanded from 5 minutes to 5:40.
Ghost Blocking mdmwii The game will not save ghosts in order to try to prevent save data corruption and accidental overwriting of ghosts. Personal leaderboards are also not updated.
Speedometer Chadderz There is a speedometer in the lower right hand corner of the screen. This only works in single player mode.
Lap & Speed Modifier Geeh and MrEvil, MrBean35000vr Every track in Super Mario Kart has five laps and 1.2× speed.
Select Language Larry98 In Riivolution, you can select the game language of Super Mario Kart Wii. You can even play the game in Japanese on a PAL Wii.
