Limitations/Issues

As of now. A few of these might be able to be fixed before the pack is finished.

General

  • Mario Kart DS has 9 Missions per level. 8 normal missions and 1 boss Mission. However Mario Kart Wii only has 8 Missions per level, with the 8th Mission being a Boss Mission. So one Mission from each level had to be cut out.
  • Because of the way Mission Mode works, If you fail at a CPU Battle or a Stargate Mission the timer will change to 99:59:999 and the player will be stuck in the same position with the winning animation playing, but the regular track music playing. If this happens, you will need to restart the Mission.

Stars

Missions involving hitting enemies/CPUS with Stars had to be changed to Shells and other items due to Stars not Counting as points when you hit a CPU/Enemy in Mission Mode

Itembox Missions

Missions with Moving Itemboxes are sometimes easy to beat because the object f_itembox does not have a setting for respawn time/timing lottery, and the object sin_itembox does not have a setting for which item to give the player, So it can't be changed to only give the player a mushroom.

Boss Missions

Only the Wiggler Mission can be recreated with the objects available in the game. The authors of the Missions had to get creative with the other Boss Missions.

Backwards Driving Missions

A code was created for this to work, Missions with this objective will always be on DS Twilight House and Chain Chomp Roulette's Slot .

Conditional Win/Loss Missions

Missions where hitting certain object causes a Mission Failure can't be recreated. The closet thing as of now is making an Infinite Fall Boundary around the object.
