The track was originally meant to be exactly like the DS one, where the track only has one lap and no item boxes. However, the author decided to make the track like it is in RC1 because he feels that it is more fun to drive in a race than winning instantly to make Time Trial records without playing. The original idea finally came out in RC3.alt.
