: Spanish translation also sounds ridiculous as well. "Bucle" sounds like a curl in the hair or something which repeats over and over again, but not a circuit. German translation

Please. The german translation "Mario's Schleife" sounds ultimatively ridiculous to us. Could we change it to "Marios Möbius" maybe? SY24 (talk) 20:26, 21 May 2016 (UTC)

The alternative name is "Mario Loop", and the loop tracks all use "Schleife". What do you say about that?

I have to agree that "Schleife" sounds really ridiculous in German. Better words would be "Ring" or "Rundkurs". --Sucht93a (talk) 10:13, 22 May 2016 (UTC)
"Schleife" is a synonym for a racing track. Think "Nürburgring Nordschleife" or "Halle-Saale-Schleife". And "Möbiusband" is also called "Möbiusschleife". So "Marios Schleife" is a nice worldplay/combination.

"Mario's Rennschleife". Last suggestion.
--SY24 (talk) 18:19, 22 May 2016 (UTC)
But "Schleife" implies "Renn"? However, please without apostrophe: "Marios Schleife" or "Marios Rennschleife"
-- Wiimm (talk) 18:45, 22 May 2016 (UTC)
Oh, you were thinking that way. But I guess no German will ever associate "Schleife" with racing related things. First thing we associate with "Schleife" is mainly that. That's why I was asking for an alternate name. And okay, never apostrophes again.

What is the name of the most popular and active racing circuit in German ? "Nürburgring Nordschleife". And it is the Nordschleife, because a Südschleife also exists.
Then I asked my daughter, who have no interests in motor sports: "Was ist die Nordschleife". And she answered immediately: "Eine Rennstrecke".
