Hi! I'm Rex. I kinda just exist, I find myself to be a little bit of an uninteresting person on the surface. The main types of mods I create are Custom Tracks, which I will release very occasionally. For most if not all of them, I tend to make them for my own enjoyment rather than any serious reasons. My tracks will not be for everybody and they have flaws with them, so I recommend you probably check out other people's work instead if you're looking for something more polished and pretty. I don't strive to be perfect with my tracks and mainly try to aim for what I'm personally happy with, so they may have inconsistent quality. I hope that you can at least respect that I do this more for a random hobby and not for any sort of occupation or trying to be the best at :)

If you want to see more information and my thoughts about the new mods I release, check out my mod blog page!
I also plan to have a link to a folder on this page in the future, containing most of my other mods (BRSTMs I've made, BRRES modifications outside of CTs, etc.) that are too small-scale to upload to this wiki. I will put the link for it here when I've uploaded most of what I want to upload to it!

Questions and permission to update stuff

If you want to ask me questions that are related to any of the mods I've published on here, you're free to ask them on my user talk page. Once I see it, I will respond to it if I feel it is needed. I do have a Discord account, but I'm not confident in talking with people I haven't talked with much before more directly. If you do already know what my Discord account is, feel free to ping me in a server I'm in (such as the public Tockdom one from the main page), or DM me if you have me added, instead of using the talk page.

If you want to do an update for any of my Custom Tracks:

  • If it is a pretty minor update, you don't have to ask me for permission. Whether you do or not, I'll likely be fine with it as long as it doesn't go against the point(s) and visions I have with the track and there's no harm behind it. If it's an at least somewhat major update, I would like if you asked me about it before doing anything regarding it.
  • If you want to release a texture hack or track edit for one of my Custom Tracks, ask me for permission before releasing it.
  • If asking for permission to update/texture/edit a track I've made with other creators, I would appreciate you asking them for permission too if possible, especially if I wasn't behind most of the modeling/creation of the track.
  • If an update is something more for yourself or a distribution, I would appreciate you making it an alternate or distribution specific version. (ex. v1.0-alt, v1.0.mkw)
  • Fixing something that is very clearly a bug or unintended effect (such as a crash) is appreciated, though I may end up fixing that myself if brought to my attention and I can do so. If it is something more ambiguous on if it could be a bug or not, please ask me for my thoughts before doing anything with it.
  • Please respect my wishes for aspects of the track I do not want altered. There's not many specific things I can think of regarding this, but just let me know ahead of time what you're adding or changing, and I'll let you know if I'm fine with it.

If you want to port one of my custom tracks to another game, please ask me for permission before doing so!

User Link

Some mods I've released are exempt from my user link. Usually if it's something I made on my own efforts, it's because I don't care about it all too much currently, or it is something more specifically made and might not be ideal for races. (Though, I might make a separate category for that in the future) I may add or remove stuff depending on how I feel about them each time I edit the user link. The mods listed are sorted by when they were first released.
