Overview

Gold Mii & Gold Vehicles is a character distribution created by Wingcapman. This distribution features a full texture pack for the scrapped Mii outfit C which gives Mii Outfit C a shiny gold outfit for all weight classes and vehicles, as well as gold vehicles to match. The current build gives those vehicles golden wheels while the majority have a slight different color, or even simply a golden rim. The Mii character model is a modified version of Mii Outfit A (renaming the files to make them usable for Mii Outfit A is an option if you prefer having those character and vehicle models over Mii Outfit A instead).

Mii Outfit C was surprisingly far in development before the developers decided to scrap them, so the only thing that was really missing from the game's data were the character and vehicle models. This distribution doesn't only include the character and vehicles, but also important files such as Gecko codes (to add Mii Outfit C to the roster as well as fixing their broken stats), a custom Character Selection Screen (to align the unused character slot properly) and .bin files to correct the character model's placement. The character is fully compatible in all game modes; Mii Outfit C's icon gets shown in Time Trials whenever creating Ghost data.

Warning about Online Gameplay

Due to how new and how little we know about the scrapped Mii Outfit C model, it is strongly recommended not to choose this character for online play. Players who use this in worldwide lobbies will freeze or crash other players their game because their game try to load a character that misses model data. If this happens, there's a big chance the player who used Mii Outfit C online will get banned.

If players still want to play online despite they understand there's a chance on getting banned, there is a safe way to play with Mii Outfit C; private distributions or modpacks and play only in friend rooms. It has been tested in friend rooms and it seems to be safe. Checking on Wiimmfi's online room data gives a visual error saying the players use an unknown character and vehicle, but despite that error on the database, Mii Outfit C is fully functional online. Just make sure everyone who joins have Mii Outfit C's data and the players have a new fully functional character added to the player roster.

Compatibility

Since the player tries to load a character that technically doesn't exist, there are some extra steps involved in order to play as Mii Outfit C. Currently this distribution isn't fully compatible with Riivolution as it has been reported a few players were unable to load Mii Outfit C properly no matter the Ocarina code's hooktype; Small Male weight class crashes on the Vehicle Selection Screen while all Medium weight class models crash the game when trying to load a track or stage. For now it is recommended to rebuild the game with Mii Outfit C's data and codes included and use a usb loader on console in order to play as Mii Outfit C. Dolphin is also fully compatible.

The character model for Mii Outfit C doesn't show up properly on the Character Selection Screen and the Vehicle Selection Screen with the Gecko codes that are included in the latest version (it loads Mii Outfit A's model instead). There is a newer code that fixes this visual bug but sadly the code also corrupts the Multiplayer menu, causing Multiplayer to not work. Racing or battling shows Mii Outfit C properly, though.
