Creating a FAQ

This should be a central FAQ for the Wiimmfi-Server. Wiimm hopes that this page is managed and filled by other users.

Error messages

When something goes wrong while connecting or being connected to the Wiimmfi-Server, your Wii will display an error code. You can look up your error code here. If you have error code 60000, the Wii is unable to connect with your profile. To solve this problem you need to create a new profile, or you can try to use an old profile after following the tutorial below.

Using Old Profiles

To use an old profile, you will need to download Maschell's PID Retrieval Tool here. Once downloaded, extract to your SD's apps folder. You will then need to run the program, which requires Internet access. When ran, it will extract PIDs from your savegames, and send them to Wiimmfi, which'll then add them to the database. Please note that it can take up to 24hr for someone to add these PIDs into the database.

Patching Games

There are a several methods to patch your game. MrBean35000vr, one of CTGP Revolution's creators made a video tutorial. There is a written tutorial below, too.

Bean's Wiimmfi Tutorial - The Homebrew Channel

For Real Discs

For this method, you'll need:

• An original game disc
• The Homebrew Channel

If you don't know how to get the Homebrew Channel, you'll have to look it up, or you can wait for the tutorial on how to get it.

First, you have to download the Wiimmfi Patcher by clicking here. Then extract the zip file to the root of your SD card. If it asks you to overwrite already existing files, click 'yes'. Then put your SD card back into your Wii and launch the Homebrew Channel. You'll see a new app called Wiimmfi Patcher. If you click to launch it, the app will patch the game that's currently in your Wii's disc drive. Please notice that not every game is supported by Wiimmfi. For ISO Users and Game Mods (Not CTGP Revolution)

For this method, you'll need:

• An image of Mario Kart Wii or another supported game.
• An USB Loader like Neogamma, USB Loader GX or WiiFlow.
• A patcher

If you don't have an image of your game, you can dump it with CleanRip on your own Wii. You can download the game patchers from Wiimms website:

Download for MKWii (10 MB)
Download for Animal Crossing Wii (6.2 MB)
Download for other games (2 MB)

Now follow these steps to patch your MKWii, any custom-variants or other games to the new server:

1. Extract the content of the archive to any folder.
2. Copy all images you want to patch into this folder.
3. Windows users now start the create-image.bat, Linux and Mac users start the create-image.sh.
4. Now all games in the folder get patched. After patching, you find the new images in the folder wiimmfi-images. You can now copy them to your HDD or USB flash drive.

For CTGP Revolution

If you already have the CTGP Revolution channel, you only have to update it. You can do that by clicking on the button that says 'updates' in the bottom left corner.

For Riivolution

Riivolution is not supported yet. MrBean35000vr is developing a channel to play Standard Mario Kart Wii without the need to patch. CTGP-R will be modified after shutdown of Nintendo's servers.
