Mario Kart has been a special thing to me as a child (and still going) and will be always remembered in my heart as a "life-changer". I do play other Mario games as well.

I am a newbie to custom track making, as I currently find it difficult. I am not too worried about it, because I can port GCN, DS, and N64 (sort of) models. I do plan to make a custom track someday, but I am better off making custom music instead.

• A untitled battle stage - This stage expresses my feelings for Mario Kart 8 having the lack of actual battle stages. Yes, anti-gravity is a possiblility...and an underwater section? Hmm...

Retro Kart Wii

Description

A distribution I planned for many months, after I got the knowledge and inspiration (from other distributions) to make one, and I personally thank the users. The spoiler below is a list ideas that I had that might be in the distribution, because everything on the list isn't going into the distribution, so think of it as a pitch-in. Ideas in bold are confirmed. Also included is the mock track list, which will be most likely be the official list.

If you think any of these ideas are great and think should be in the distribution, mention about it in my user discussion page.

Ideas:

• Wiimms Mario Kart Fun track crediting feature. In the opening cameras of courses, under the track name is the creator(s) who made it.

• Custom Title screen. Someone can design this for me.

• Include a separate AIParam edition for those who want more of a challenge.

• New color scheme...? Like how CTGP Revolution is a black background-orange outline scheme, and original Mario Kart Wii is white background-blue outline.

• (some) CTGP Revolution game features? Permission required.

• Custom SFX...?
  • Ask DarkyBenji about them about obtaining some from Darky Kart Wii, mainly the boost and trick sounds.

• Cheat-blocking system implemented. This will be very difficult.

• Self-owned online region. Someone can pick the region number for me. I don't really care what number it is.

• Custom cup names and custom cup pictures to go with it. Trophies in the game will follow original cups until I know how to edit them, if possible. The pictures...?

• No Rainbow Roads. It's nothing personal. More of an explanation will come when the distribution page is created.

• Custom Strap screen. Someone can design this for me.

• Ask DarkyBenji about permission of some of his miscellaneous textures in Darky Kart Wii...mainly the Sonic Generations lap counter and time counter.

• Less than 32 tracks.

• Wiimmfi implemented to replace Nintendo's servers.

• Countdown Mode to replace non-functional battles?

• Custom music from a mix of games. Not sure to replace all music or most of them.

• THPs - Track/Battle Stage Select screen will be invisible. Credits to DarkyBenji.
  • New custom intro...?
    • As for THPs in other places...?

• Torran's In Drift Bikes mod - Thought this was very interesting. I will also give credit to MKDDWii for debuting this feature.

• Make a text document for giving credits to others for their work, plus play-testers. I am also including a disclaimer, including links to proof that I asked permission from the original authors for their content displayed in the distribution, that way people don't accuse me for copyright infringement.

• Possible new Wii ID...? I was thinking RMCETB (TB being the word 'throwback') or RMCERT (RT being the word 'retro track')

• About the tracks in the distribution that get updated...? I need to do something about that.

• Custom cover, like the Wiimms Mario Kart Fun series. Even though it's not that hard, I will eventually ask someone.

• Create the distribution page on the Wiiki when the work is FINISHED and also FINALIZED.
  • What I mean by finalized is that I don't have to make any more changes to the project and the play-testers agree to the version.

• BMG (text) edits.

• NTSC-U only release...?
