Overview
This port has kart recolors, an award scene model, a character selection screen model, CPU and LOD models, and icons. There are ten variants of Shy Guy included alongside the default red color: Green Shy Guy, Blue Shy Guy, Light-Blue Shy Guy, Yellow Shy Guy, Pink Shy Guy, White Shy Guy, Black Shy Guy, Orange Shy Guy, Gray Shy Guy, and Purple Shy Guy. All variants share the same kart recolors to reflect their appearances in Mario Kart DS and Mario Kart 7.

Trivia
- This mod was released on November 13th, which is the author's birthday.
- The author released this mod to celebrate the 15th anniversary of Mario Kart DS.
- Gray Shy Guy uses the icons of Black Shy Guy from Mario Kart 7, as Black Shy Guy's colors looked gray compared to the variant used in Mario Kart 8 and Mario Kart Tour. The author created new icons for Black Shy Guy to resemble his appearance in the latter titles.
- Purple Shy Guy was created as a reference to Woozy Guy's coloration in Yoshi's Woolly World.
