HD's Retro Pack is a custom track distribution made by members of High Definition, a Mario Kart community, made for funrooms. It was put up here if anyone ever showed interest in trying it out, The pack was created by mainly [[Rookie]], but also working on the project was King Decimator, Speed Demon, and helping on the project was [[ChaosShadow23]]. The purpose of the pack is to provide some of the best and most memorable tracks that Nintendo has created in past Mario Kart games, even a track from the beta of one of the games was put in. Despite the name 'retro' there is 1 track originating from the 3DS game Mario Kart 7 and unlike your typical CT distribution, a few tracks still in normal Mario Kart Wii. Retro just goes with the bulk of the tracks and the general theme of Nintendo made tracks. Some normal MKW tracks (6) were chosen to be included simply because the creators find them to be good to be left out from a Nintendo track themed distribution.

Overview

HD's Retro Pack is a custom track distribution made by a few members of High Definition, a Mario Kart community. The pack was originally planned to be private, however was put up here if anyone ever showed interest in trying it out. The pack was created by mainly Rookie and King Decimator, but Speed Demon and ChaosShadow23 helped on the project as well. The purpose of the pack is to provide some of the best and most memorable tracks that Nintendo has created in past and even future Mario Kart games, and put them all into 1 game. Despite the name 'retro' there is 1 track originating from the 3DS game Mario Kart 7 and unlike your typical CT distribution, a few tracks still in normal Mario Kart Wii. Retro just goes with the bulk of the tracks and the general theme of Nintendo made tracks. Some normal MKW tracks (6) were chosen to be included simply because the creators find them to be good to be left out from a Nintendo track themed distribution as well.
