This is Airship Fortress from Mario Kart DS. It is the last track of the Star Cup. The race starts on the top of a castle wall and then leads into a floating battleship. A cannon shoots the racers into a castle tower and then the track loops back to the finish line. Along the way are enemies and fiery hazards that can slow the racers down. Airship Fortress was one of the most popular tracks of its game, and it is the first track to be ported from Mario Kart DS to Mario Kart Wii. Currently, there are two different versions available for download, but neither have Bullet Bills yet.

Overview
This version was created next. It features better texture mapping and drivable castle ridges from Mario Kart 7. It is also scaled a little smaller, compared to the other version. The Burners were replaced with Firebars. Bullet Bills were planned for the beta release, but the only suitable Object (TruckWagon) would cause freezes on the Wii, so they were not included.

Overview

Airship Fortress was one of the most popular tracks of its game, and this version was the first track to be ported from Mario Kart DS to Mario Kart Wii.

This track had its .KMP file converted from the .NKM file from MKDS, therefore the routes taken by enemies and items are the same as they were on Mario Kart DS.

Differences

 • No Monty Moles
 • No Bullet Bills
 • No wooden boxes
 • No flame poles

When this track was made, it was still not possible to use objects from other tracks (the base is Bowser's Castle).
