About the <small>'s

I included them here because MarkAlbertsma03 added them on Template:User-CTCustard-Link. Tho I agree that they look terrible here, while there it makes sense since there's only one of them. -- Cealgair (talk|contribs) 15:27, 4 March 2021 (UTC)

Yeah, I know that they're generally used for "Untitled" texture hacks, but having 41 of them makes the page a giant eyesore. I just made that edit temporarily until Kanto, Atlas, Mark or Vinny put their input into it as well. Trainiax/SwampyGator (talk) 15:29, 4 March 2021 (UTC)
Slightly unrelated, but while you're here can you explain me why you mods want <br>'s in some places where I'd just put &ndash;'s, and what's the exact way to tell where they should be? -- Cealgair (talk|contribs) 15:33, 4 March 2021 (UTC)
&ndash;'s create stripes, while <br>'s makes the text start at the next line. Try replacing <br> with &ndash; next to Daisy Circuit and see what changes by using the Show preview button. 🏁_____🌲______🚗_____🌳 Krummers (talk) 15:46, 4 March 2021 (UTC)
I'm sorry I wasn't clear, but my question wasn't about how HTML works, it was more so about why you want to go to a new line every once in a while: doesn't every browser do that automatically? And since I created a fair amount of user link pages lately, I think it would be useful for me to know where to start a new line and where to put an &ndash; instead. -- Cealgair (talk|contribs) 16:09, 4 March 2021 (UTC)
My general rule of thumb is I try to keep it no more than ten on a line, and start a new line early if it wouldn't all fit on a standard screen. There's no "real" reason other than it looks nicer having single entries on one line and not having lines start or end with "–". Trainiax/SwampyGator (talk) 16:15, 4 March 2021 (UTC)

To be honest, the "standard screen" guideline doesn't make sense to me, since I believe there is a significant amount of people who browse this wiki that don't always use a desktop or laptop with their browser in fullscreen mode (or whatever it's called): many of them use a smartphone instead, or maybe they make their browser window occupy just half of their screen. Ok to be honest I don't have data to prove my point and this argument is entirely based on my personal experience, but still.
That "maximum 10 per line" guideline is clear and I will be using it in the future, although I don't think it's really necessary either, since for the same reasons I just explained those "ugly lines" will show up nonetheless. -- Cealgair (talk|contribs) 16:24, 4 March 2021 (UTC)
