Overview

Mario Kart Wii: Ranked Play is a game mode created by TheNinjaKingOW. It modifies the VR system to add custom ranks for certain amounts of VR. This also modifies how much the user can gain and lose depending on their respective rank. This game mode is completely open source, and will be able to be implemented into existing distributions.

Feature Description
Ranks Players get rewarded for the amount of VR they have with a custom icon next to their name.
Placement Matches When players first boot up the mod, for the first five races, they will gain/lose 10 times the amount they would normal receive.
150cc Above 3500 VR When the host's rank is above 3500 VR, all races will be played on 150cc.
Unused Winning Music for 1st When the player's rank is above 3500 VR, if the player gets 1st, an unused 1st place theme (also known as "o_FanfareMIWinBoss_32") will be played instead of the normal theme.
2500 VR at License Creation When a player makes a new license, their VR is set to 2500.
5000 VR Cap Sets the game's maximum VR cap to 5000.
