Can somebody move this page back to Mario Kart: Double Dash!! Wii please? --Horsti12 (talk) 20:48, 15 August 2013 (UTC)

I don't think so. There are a lot of Double Dash distros, and wiki readers deserve to see all of them. There's no reason for yours to get special treatment.--Jefe (talk) 22:05, 15 August 2013 (UTC)
But on the first time I created the page Mario Kart: Double Dash!! Wii and than George35000vr had the same idea with the name, so we must split the page, because there are two distributions with the same name.
Now we want to make the hack togehter, so we don´t need the split.
Please delte the REDIRECT and move this page to Mario Kart: Double Dash!! Wii

You certainly did not read Jefe's message, please read it. --MitsySueG24 (talk) 22:56, 15 August 2013 (UTC)
I think you don´t klick on the link, because than you can see that this page had a redirect.
I only want that this page move back to Mario Kart: Double Dash!! Wii.

Oh so you get the special name? I don't think so. --MitsySueG24 (talk) 14:55, 16 August 2013 (UTC)
Answer to Jefe:
Mario Kart: Double Dash!! Distributions is the disambiguation page. Mario Kart: Double Dash!! Wii is a more specific name and only one distribution uses this name. So why not allow Horsti12 to use the page? And a link to the disambiguation page is no problem.
Wiimm (talk) 23:40, 16 August 2013 (UTC)

I will talk about this, but let me bring up a related case. I didn't delete the GBA Broken Pier disambig when there was only 1 port, because I wanted to give people a chance to make another port and it would save me from moving Rukasudo's port back to GBA Broken Pier, deleting/keeping the redirect, then re-separate the page if someone made another port.

Now in this case, Mario Kart: Double Dash!! Wii is a really uncreative name, next to Mario Kart: Double Dash!! (Distribution) (I hope no one else picks this name), so I am thinking it won't be long before someone else wants to make another Mario Kart: Double Dash!! Wii, since MKDD distributions are very popular (as Jefe said). I want to give people a chance to make another CTD like this if they want and it would save me from moving Horsti's back to Mario Kart: Double Dash!! Wii, deleting/keeping the redirect Mario Kart: Double Dash!! Wii (Horsti12 & George35000vr), then re-separate the page if someone made another CTD like this. It's best to leave it as is, in my opinion and it discourages people from making another Mario Kart: Double Dash!! Wii, since it's a protected page. -- Have a nice day, from ZillaSpaz 23:56, 16 August 2013 (UTC)

I agree with Zilla. Since there are so many Double Dash distros, I think the best policy is to add the author's name to the distro page, and make simplistic names like "Double Dash Wii" redirect to the disambiguation page. Accordingly Mario Kart: Double Dash!! (Distribution) now redirects to the disambig. I moved it to that name originally because the author decided to give it the same exact title as the actual GCN game. --Jefe (talk) 02:04, 17 August 2013 (UTC)
Ok, I am now convinced.
btw: What do you think about an disambiguation logo like wikipedia: http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Datei:Disambig-dark.svg
I think, we can use exactly this logo.
Wiimm (talk) 07:59, 17 August 2013 (UTC)
I like the logo. How are you going to use it? Put it at the bottom/top of diambigs?

v1.2.1

Why is this a bad attempt at disguising a .exe file as a .zip? The file ending in ".zip.exe" is very sketchy, and there is no reason why v1.2.1 could not have just been created as an entirely new download instead of some updater. If someone has access to a VM or a spare computer, could they please check out the legitimacy of this file? Again, it seemingly pretending to be a zip file is a huge red flag.
