Track Classifications

I assume the "Nitro" classification was made up to mean "new" or "original" CT design? I understand the potential confusion caused by using the terms "new" or "original", since they have multiple meanings, but "Nitro" is just as confusing and makes even less sense. It could just as well refer to "boost" tracks or DS ports. Likewise appending CT to everything isn't necessary, these are all custom tracks, after all. Ported tracks are understood to be a type of CT. We have a list of custom tracks and various lists of ports; I don't see how using those commonly understood terms would be any worse semantically than making up new ones. --Jefe 13:39, 27 November 2011 (CET)

Nitro is the term used for new/original tracks (being the opposite of Retro). I don't get why Nitro can refer to DS ports. That it's considered as boost track is possible, but that's a similar thing as the "RC misunderstanding".
But there is a need to specify it's a CT, because also battles can be ported.
