Overview

Well here it is. After 5 months of development, success, failure, retrial, and a majorly rude interruption by Nintendo known as Mario Kart 7, Sunset Ridge has been officially released.

Sunset Ridge is a custom MKWii track created by BigOto2 and Vulcanus2, and was designed by Demyx.

Misc

Known glitches:

  • Metal Ramp Lag: sometimes the game lags in single player mode, when in a pack of racers and going down the metal Rock Rock Mountain style ramp.
  • Multiplayer lag, caused by the numerous BRRES files used as an animation workaround.

If anyone comes across anything funny or out of the ordinary while racing here, chances are it is not a glitch but a secret! Be sure to post if anything suspicious is found.

We both never had so many problems on one CT. It had freeze glitches, solidity glitches, messed up mapping, corrupted meshes and more. We had to sacrifice much of the intended quality to make it at least work. But still there hasn't been a track closer to Nintendo quality yet (without HP effect and lag, and possible with little more shadows it IS Nintendo quality).

This track contains:

  • Proper texture mapping
  • plants/trees
  • Animation
  • Ads and signs (ads refer to tracks of us both).
  • Eastereggs (the biggest one has been cut out, to make the track work).
