DS Nokonoko Beach
Nokonoko Beach (A.K.A. Split-Up Beach) is an unused beta course (nokonoko_course) found in the ROM of Mario Kart DS. It is very likely that this was going to be the sequel to Koopa Troopa Beach from Mario Kart 64, due to the word nokonoko being the romanisation of the Japanese name for Koopa Troopa. The track was present, but unplayable without codes, in the kiosk demo; in the final version of the game it no longer loads with textures. Despite what it would have been named in the final version of Mario Kart DS, it has kept the name given to it by fans (Nokonoko Beach) for custom track distributions such as CTGPR.
