Gold Mario is a form of Mario that first appeared in New Super Mario Bros. 2 when exposed to a Gold Flower.[1] He made his debut in the Mario Kart series as a downloadable palette swap of Metal Mario in Mario Kart Arcade GP DX. Likewise, he appears as another variant of Metal Mario in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, where he is the only unlockable character in the game, and appears exclusively in Coin Rush in Mario Kart Tour.
Currently, there are four versions available:
- Gold Mario (iSlime)
- Gold Mario (The N Division)
- Gold Mario (Rachy)
- Gold Mario (MarkAlbertsma03)
- Gold Mario (Oddzoff): based on the Switch version
