Setting 4, 00C8, acts as a stop point directly at the end of lap one. Once you pass the checkpoint specified by setting 4, and if the wiggler is stopped before you pass the checkpoint, it will change to speed two. The second speed change, determined by setting 6, will always function as long as the wiggler has stopped and the player is beyond the specific checkpoint (determined by setting 6).

This article is about the object »BossHanachan« (object id 0xf0).

Overview

BossHanachan is the big Wiggler that follows a route only used in competitions. The wiggler's route can theoretically be infinite, but it is commonly 3 laps long Like every KMP object, this Wiggler can go inside walls. It uses the same files as Hanachan, except that BossHanachan is more interactive. Settings 1 to 7 are used by Nintendo on Wario's Gold Mine Competition.

BossHanachan and Hanachan cannot work together (like Choropu)

Settings

  • Setting 1 is the initial speed of the wiggler
  • Setting 2 is unknown
  • Setting 3 is the second speed the wiggler uses, after passing a speed change point
  • Setting 4 determines when the wiggler changes to the second speed
  • Setting 5 is the Angry Wiggler speed
  • Setting 6 determines when the wiggler changes to the angry wiggler speed
  • Setting 7 is used when the wiggler becomes angry. It is simply a delay before the wiggler moves again

Making it change speed (can be used 2 times per race)

BossHanachan will change to its second speed, at the point specified in setting 3, on the second point of 0000 0001 is a point in the track. There is a glitch that will occur if the wiggler doesn't stop before changing its speed to the second speed, and it will remain its initial speed. The wiggler will change to the angry speed, at the point specified by setting 5, at the third route point with settings 0000 0001. Be sure that in that point every part of his body is on the road. If not, a glitch will occur and wiggler will get stuck but the game will NOT freeze. On the picture we see only 5 body part, the sixth is behind the wall under the road, the 5th part still be red forever. File:BossHanachan angry glitch.jpeg

Trick points

Route Settings 0000 0002. This Wiggler will start the trick animation at that point.

Speed Change points

Speed change points are exactly what they seem. The wiggler will change speed on these points. There are up to two speed changes per race. The route settings are 0000 0001. They are similar to stop points, in that they make the wiggler stop, and in that they use the same units. Two settings are used with speed change points (settings 4 and 6) which are used for the first and angry speed change. The first speed change, determined by setting 4, will only activate if the wiggler stops on that point. Otherwise, the wiggler will continue using the first speed. The second speed change, determined by setting 6, will always function as long as the wiggler has stopped and the player is beyond the specific checkpoint (determined by setting 6).

Stop points

Route settings XXXX and 0003. XXXX is simply used to represent a variable. XXXX is an unknown unit, that is directly related to checkpoints on the course. The standard points used in the wario's gold mine competition are 0089 0003 and 00AB 0003 in the first lap, 00EA 0003, 0105 0003, and 0127 0003 in the second lap, and none in the third lap. Despite not having any stop points on the third lap, it can still stop on the third lap, and there fore on the fourth, fifth, and any amount of laps. The way you do this is by say having a stop point at 0167 0003. This will make it function in the third lap. You must determine what the route settings must be for these, keeping in mind that XXXX increases the more laps you do. The XXXX setting on the route is in the same units as setting 4 and setting 6.
More Information
You can put any stop point wherever you want, but say you put 0089 0003 on lap 3. In this case, it will still function, but the wiggler will only stop if you are behind wherever 0089 is on the track. Otherwise, the wiggler will keep moving. In addition, each lap is precisely 64 units long in hex, which is 100 in base ten. Therefore to make a stop point at the beginning of lap one (simply passing the finish line after beginning) the settings would be 0064 0003.

Ending Point

At this point, the wiggler will permanently stop and change from angry to normal texture, make the point on the route have the settings 0000 0004. If the wiggler is not angry when it passes this point, it will cycle past it, and nothing will happen.
