Introduction

You must use this template when creating a new Texture Hack track page. This helps give Texture Hack pages a uniform and professional look. You can see a preview of the Texture Hack Template here.

To make a page for a Character or Vehicle texture, click here.

Please read the Wiiki Rules before you get started.

Create a Texture Hack Page

  1. First find a name for the new page. The page names for texture hacks always have the format:
     <Texture_Hack_Name>_(<Original_Track_Name>_Texture)

Example: Sky Farm (Moo Moo Meadows Texture)

    Keep an eye on spacing.

  2. Next, enter the name of the new page into the search field and click »Go«.
  3. At the top of the page there will be a sentence like: Create the page "Texture Hack Name" on this wiki! Click on the link.
  4. Copy the following text and paste it into the text box:
    {{subst:Texture-Hack}}

    ... and save the page.

  5. Press »Edit« and edit the content of the page.
  6. <!-- When you edit the page, you'll see instructions enclosed in comment tags like this. --> The <!-- comments --> can be deleted as you set up the page. Anything between <!-- comment tags --> will be invisible when you save the page.
  7. Use the »SHOW PREVIEW« button as you edit. You can continue to »PREVIEW« until you get it right. Every »SAVE« is saved permanently and must be patrolled by wiki moderators. Do not »SAVE« the page until you are completely sure the page is the way you want it.
  8. Write using third person (using words like he, she and they) instead of first person (I, me and we.)
  9. Add your User link at the bottom of the page.
  10. Add the new track to the Texture Hack list.
  11. Add the new track to the News.
