Keep the following in mind as you contribute to the site:

  • Make good edits. Always use the SHOW PREVIEW button to check your changes before you use the SAVE button. If you make a mistake, wait 15 minutes before saving the same page a third or fourth time in a row.
  • Saving lots of edits without PREVIEWING will get the moderators on your case, and can get you banned from the Wiiki.
  • If you plan to update a lot of pages in a short period of time, please clear it with a moderator first.
  • Write articles in third person (using words like he, she and they) instead of first person (I, me and we.) User pages and talk pages are the exceptions to this rule.

Impossible CT Pack

Hello, SitBar! I just wanted to reach out to you for reasons regarding your Custom Track Distribution. I was wondering if you could by any chance use Riivolution instead of My Stuff for it. Even if it looks the same as regular Mario Kart Wii, like my own Bowser's CT Pack, it's generally better (if possible) to use Riivolution opposed to My Stuff. Making a simple Riivolution mod isn't really any different from making a My Stuff mod. It's pretty easy. All you have to do is create a Riivolution patch using Microsoft's XML Notepad. You can find a template for this patch here: [Patch Template]. If you don't know how to modify this to fit your CT Pack, I could even do one for you. I would just need to know the name you are going to use for the core folder, (the folder you will be putting the .szs/.wbz files into) and I can create the patch. Or, if you want to do it yourself but don't know how, I could give you further instruction on this.

Obviously, this is optional. I started out doing packs through My Stuff too, until I figured out how easy it was to create a Patch Template. It's really up to you, however, My Stuff, (as i've learned) is generally only used for Nintendo track modifications (ex. 9x Speed Pack), or a personal pack you would play with your friends.

If you want me to create an XML file (patch file) for you, let me know, and I can do it. If you'd rather keep it as My Stuff, that's fine too.

Unfortunately, I'm not entirely sure why Bigcube Island crashes. I've had issues with that slot during testing for an upcoming distribution (which hasn't been announced yet.) Media for HackerCop's Track Pack (v2.0)

Hello SitBar, I was wondering if you'd be willing to make a video for the future v2.0 update of HackerCop's Track Pack considering you helped me so much in Wario's Gold Mine: Tour. This major update will feature a custom UI as well as more custom tracks, texture hacks and custom characters/textures like Turquoise Mario and custom music. If your willing, when I've finished v2.0 I could give you a private release via email/discord and you could test and film it.

Also out of interest do you make Custom Tracks/Texture Hacks or do you just do distributions. I could teach you how to make your own custom tracks. Thanks --HackerCop (talk) 19:18, 23 June 2020 (UTC)

Yeah I would make a showcase of your newest distribution on my channel. And you asked if I make CTs on my own...: I tried it a few times. But all my tracks have a very buggy kcl. If you want, I could sent you my newest track and you could optimize it if you want. But it only works in time trials so far because it hasn't a kmp yet. --SitBar (talk) 10:17, 25 June 2020 (UTC)

Have you already looked at my track? I hope its clear where the main route goes... it has a complicated layout! And remember: I want it to have Daisy Circuits sky box and its water. I'll have a look at it this afternoon. Putting in Daisy Circuits sky model and water will be easy but the texture animations will be harder though I can do that. Hey SitBar, I've finished making your newest track which you can download here https://drive.google.com/file/d/1cjdZRsZ-HOamg2YD_NlyCEPRWTP38Wmt/view. I Have not done boostramp animations or the kmp CPU routes yet as I want to make sure you are happy with the course before I proceed but I've done everything else and the course is ready for your review.

The biggest change I made was raising the beach above the water. This is because due to the low resolution of KCL files driving near the water triggered the waters KCL flag causing you to die and respawn.

Slot information

I would recommend slots 7.3 or 8.3 for the dirt GFX.

Change log

  • Done:
    • Add daisy circuit sky model and water.
    • Add water splash effect.
    • Change texture placement slightly. Have replaced grass in rocks with dirt and put grass on the inner edge of the beach - Grass is generally used for off-road so having it as a road looked bad.
    • Removed second start line as it make the track more confusing and can cause weird online glitches without additional codes Lap & Speed Modifier.
    • Fixed start line texture - remember that texture dimensions must be powers of 2.
    • Added basic shadow effects.
    • Fix KCL/BRRES glitches.
    • Removed unneeded faces on outside of island. If a player cannot see an area then don't model it as unneeded 3D data will only use up system resources.
  • Need to do:
    • KMP.
    • Add water and boostramp animations.

Hey! You did a realy good job but ive found some glitches and other stuff I couldt fix so can you please try it. I'll put a link to a non listed yt video here soon. I've looked at the video and I can fix all the glitches, it won't be that hard. I'll also make the KMP, Minimap and I would like to animate the water. Oh and I forgot to mention in the video at 0:50 that the trick is like the bc3 ramps but can you make it normal trickable without boost like the luigi circuit sc ramp or the blue ramp at mow mow meadows! --SitBar (talk) 21:40, 19 July 2020 (UTC)
Hey SitBar, I've fixed all the glitches and made the ramp at 0:50 normal trickable. I've also created the KMP and minimap and the track is now (apart from the water animation) finished and ready for release. I'll do the water animation tomorrow and release it on the Wiiki and give you a link to the page here. Pls put the first set of item boxes in the video at 0:30, the second at the big ramp at 0:55 and the third somewhere in that last big turn under a stoneplate!

Having shadows like White Garden is really hard though you can do it easily just by putting darker textures under objects. I did this for this track in the big turn near the end. I should have your track finished today. --HackerCop ❯❯❯ Talk 11:50, 21 July 2020 (UTC)

Hey! I fixed the enemy routes because they were not right. And I found 2 big glitches which exist in your v1.0 too. That's great you've fixed it. I sorry about those glitches in the video, when I tested v1.0 I couldn't find them but obviously it was due to my poor checkpoints. Unfortunately I can't view your update because I don't have permission to accsess the file (you can see this if you open the link in incognito mode), you need to change permission from Restricted to anyone with the link. I can fix the bugs in the video and I'll try and release v1.2 by the end of the week. I tried making water animations for v1.0 but I couldn't get them working as animations are very difficult. I need to develop my abilities with animations on a test track and learn how to do it before I can put them in :D. As for the distribution I made a video myself so that's fine but I'm going to release a custom game mode soon (Mario Kart Wii but the CPU are IMPOSSIBLE) and I would appreciate it if you could make a video for that.
