Are the rotations in the euler convention used intrinsic or extrinsic (aka around the rotating or fixed frame)? It does not seem clear right now but it makes a difference in the calculation. If the order is X->Y->Z then the most common convention is with fixed axis (5-th case here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Euler_angles#Conventions). Also "using X" doesn't make much sense, rotations are fully defined by handedness and axis and act on the entire vector, not individual coordinates. M8 (talk) 14:25, 3 October 2022 (UTC)
