Type 04

On Maple Treeway, type 04 looks like it may activate falling leaves (EnvKareha) upon entering, since they're placed under trees. --Digital Monster, Guilmon35249vr 22:28, 30 April 2012 (UTC)

This Area 4 points are used for leaves which show up when you drive through the tree leaves (like the ones after the cannon).

It seems, I did something wrong (more than edited/fixed yet) on finding tracks with type 4. -- Wiimm (talk) 16:06, 18 December 2018 (UTC)

Types 08 and 09

I've just tested handling types 08 and 09. The results were some unloading objects while entering the areas when switching between them as well as changing the value at 0x28, but I don't know exactly how they work. —Atlas (talk) – CT/MK8 Wiki Admin 00:20, 22 July 2018 (UTC)

Type 06

While trying to discover the meaning of settings of type 06, Epik95 and I have noticed, that changing setting 1 changes how inside of Mushroom Gorge's cave looks (Imgur). After more testing, we came to conclusion, that this type of AREA is not related to music, but it actually changes BBLM.

Mushroom Gorge, Koopa Cape and Grumble Volcano are the only tracks that do use type 06, as well they are the only tracks that have a file posteffect.bblm1. Changing this file data did change how the cave looked once again. (Reddish tint Youtube)

After modifing the values we have noticed:
Setting 1: Sets which BBLM file will be use while inside AREA. Value of 0 sets it to the default file, while value greater than that refers to file posteffect.bblm*, with * being the setting. (It is not limited to one)
Setting 2: Defines transition time in frames.
