Overview
Mario Kart Wii: Limitless is a distribution created by TheSuperArtistGamerMKWL. The mod has the following features:
- Vehicles have rebalanced and reimagined stats and playstyles, allowing for a more balanced and varied playing field for both casual and competitive play;
- Characters have redistributed stat bonuses, allowing each character to have their own distinct niche;
- Items have altered probabilities and various changes to their knockback/effects, allowing for more fair gameplay without sacrificing Mario Kart Wii's trademark chaos;
- Certain tracks have altered item routes and added shortcuts, making them more accessible for casuals and more fair for competitors. A few tracks also have optional retextured variants based on various Mario spinoff games.
- Custom tracks have replaced some of the more divisive vanilla tracks – with the custom tracks in question being rotated every season based on player feedback – allowing the track list to remain varied and fun;
- Quality-of-life codes have been added – such as brake drifting and fast falling, finish times on results and a pretty speedometer – allowing for a convenient and accessible experience;
- The option to play on 200cc, with vehicle stats slightly altered to make them all feel fluid and functional at this breakneck pace.

- Ryumi, for some of the vehicle concepts, his help in making edits to the Common.szs file and tracks and for making the title screen graphic in v2.0 onward.
- LucioWins, for editing the tracks, his help in making edits to the StaticR.rel files for custom point distributions and helping in setting up/testing the custom region.

It is worth noting that the code in the link is actually the 200cc code; removing everything beyond the first 124 lines will allow brake drifting and fast falling in regular play. |

Show Everyone's Times After Race | Melg | All players' finishing times will now be displayed on the point tally screen in VS races and online races. |
Use the Intended Mii Stats | B_squo | In the vanilla game, the Miis do not use their intended stat bonuses due to an oversight. This has been corrected with this code. |
Change Characters Between Wi-Fi Races | MrBean35000vr | When in online play, the player's character, vehicle and drift mode choice may be changed between races by pressing | or (depending on your controller) when on the VR screen. This simply takes the player back to the character select menu and then returns them to the vote when they have reselected. If the time limit expires, the currently selected options are taken.

Don't Hide Position After Race | MrBean35000vr | Your position will no longer disappear upon crossing the finish line. |
Mega Cloud | acaruso | Instead of shrinking the player, the Thunder Cloud gives a Mega Mushroom effect. |

Remove Worldwide Button | Chadderz | This code prevents players from accidentally joining a vanilla lobby and getting temporarily banned by removing the "Worldwide" button on the Wiimmfi screen. |
Unlock Everything Without Save | acaruso | This code gives players the effects and benefits of having everything unlocked despite not meeting any of the requirements. Players can still "unlock" things legitimately if they so choose. |
Lap Modifier | MrBean35000vr | With this code, tracks will use their intended amount of laps during online play. |
Instant Squash Recovery | Nutmeg | Getting squished will no longer keep players in a squished state – instead, they will momentarily be stunned. |
Replace Mushroom When No Item Available | Star | This code allows the game to grant a different item to players when there is no item available (in the vanilla game, this defaults to a single Mushroom). In the case of this distribution, players will now pull a Star in this circumstance. |
Disable Item Poof | CLF78 | Items will no longer disappear if they have remained on the ground for too long. |
Allow Mega in a Mega | Unnamed | This code allows players the possibility of pulling a Mega Mushroom should they already be under the effects of one. |
Mini-Turbo Charge Stat | Gaberboo | With this code, vehicles can have a variable mini-turbo charge duration by modifying the "Wall KCL Speed" and "Invisible Wall KCL Speed" stats in the kartParam.bin Editor – these stats go unused in the vanilla game. |
Blue Shell Cooldown | Gaberboo | With this code, Blue Shells will have their cooldown period of restored (they have a default cooldown of 30 seconds, but due to an oversight, the vanilla game ignores this). |
Accurate Explosion Damage | MrBean35000vr, CLF78 | This code will accurately convey whether or not an opponent got hit by an explosion on your perspective. |
Allow Looking Backwards During the Countdown | Gaberboo | This code allows players to use the rear view while Lakitu counts down at the beginning of the race. |
Allow Pausing Before the Race Starts | Gaberboo | This code allows players to pause the game before the start of an offline race/time trial. Useful if a player misclicked on a menu and wants to quit quickly. |
