Overview
Mario Kart Midnight is a custom track distribution created by Mayro, ZPL, Demonz, TheGamingBram, and Gabriela_. It aims to be a celebration of custom tracks, featuring the "best" tracks released between December 2021 and November 2022. Every track released during this time period was featured in monthly public polls, which were voted on by custom track enthusiasts. Every track that averaged a score of four or above out of five was guaranteed a spot in the distribution. Originally, in order to reach a total of 200 tracks, certain tracks that averaged 3.5 out of five were also included. As of v1.2, additional tracks which averaged 3.5 out of five started to be added with every new major update. As of v1.5-beta, every track which scored 3.5 out of five was added.
A sequel was released in August 2024, which features tracks released from December 2022 to December 2023.
