Overview
Mario Kart 64 is the second game in the Mario Kart series from Nintendo. It was first released for the Nintendo 64 (N64) in 1996, and was the second bestselling title for the system. Mario Kart 64 rendered its levels using 3D models, while using sprites for characters and items. It was the first game in the series to feature Blue Shells, mini-turbos and 4-player split-screen play.
