MKWF-Helper is a tool created by Faraphel. It allows anyone playing Mario Kart Wii on Dolphin Emulator to be able to see the current played track on faraphel.fr. Since Mario Kart Wii Faraphel is a distribution about giving scores to the tracks available, manually seeking for the track on the website was a very annoying and time consuming thing to do, making most of the players just play the mod without giving their opinion about the different tracks available. To make this easier for the players, the author decided to create a tool that would automatically look for which track is currently playing, and display a web browser containing the track information, allowing the players to easily give a score, post a comment or report a bug about the track. If Discord is also installed, a rich presence containing information about the current track should be displayed on the player profile. Even if the tool is called "MKWF-Helper", it can be used on any other mod and should still work correctly.
There are two ways to start the application:
- With the graphical user interface (GUI).
- With the command line interface (CLI).
By default, the GUI is used, but by using the argument --cli, the program will switch to CLI mode.
You will need to configure some settings before playing, such as the Dolphin executable and data path, and the web browser you wish to use.
