Retro Tracks

I didn't know where exactly to put this, but I think there should be a Retro Tracks category, filled with all the retro Mario Kart and DKR tracks. Also being categorized with be "N64 Tracks", "DKR Tracks", "MK7 tracks" and so on. Thoughts? It will be easier to find the tracks and people wouldn't be searching that often for them either. It's something I've been considering for a while too, but it would be tedious to do it manually. Khacker could use his bot to scan all pages for the prefix "N64" for example, and add the appropriate categories. --Jefe 20:16, 13 February 2013 (UTC)

Why would you need categories for ports? They're already found in lists such as these anyway. Those lists are also on the Main Page. You don't really need to do much searching to find ports. I don't think this is really necessary...

That's the main reason I haven't done anything about it. On the other hand, categories wouldn't hurt anything and they would aid in navigation by adding a link back to the category page. The category page itself should link back the the retro track list pages. @Herbert, I would wait for Khacker to make a response before editing any track pages.--Jefe 20:34, 13 February 2013 (UTC)

Adding a new category to those pages won't do any harm. I don't think a category for each game is needed though, one 'Retro Track' category is a good enough.

If you're going to add the Retro Track category, you might as well add the game categories, for completeness. They can be set up as sub-categories of Retro Track.--Jefe 22:07, 13 February 2013 (UTC)

I set up Category:Retro Track as a sub category of Custom Track. There is a heading that lists the sub categories, but Retro Track doesn't show up unless you click 'next 200' at the bottom of the page. Is there a way to get all the subcategories to show up on the first page? --Jefe 22:18, 13 February 2013 (UTC)

Paint Tracks

I think we should set up a new category for tracks created with paint. The reason for this is, that it will be easier to find them, which could lead to more better looking recreations (just like Jefe did it with Rezway). -- NiAlBlack (talk) 21:59, 22 March 2013 (UTC)
