Overview

Alone and Incomplete (The Journey to Fix a Broken Heart) is ISwearChris's sixth custom track. It was created for the 48th edition of the Custom Track Jam competition series, where it placed second. The track is about depression and feeling alone, featuring themes of sadness and isolation. The author made it as a means of providing a platform and a voice for those suffering from mental illness or struggling with life. It was made to be a statement piece, and reflects a lot of personal turmoil the author has been through in the past about love and life in general.

The track is inspired by albums Teens of Denial by Car Seat Headrest (the original version featured lyrics from that album), Modern Vampires of the City by Vampire Weekend, London Calling by The Clash, and WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP, WHERE DO WE GO? by Billie Eilish. It was meant to capture the same loss and desperation, but seeking for something more feeling that those albums all share, as well as the same offbeat and unconventional tones of each.

Naming

Mario Kart Wii only displays the first 41 characters for a track name. This means that this track's name is too long, as it is 56 characters; especially if the name of the author is appended to the track name. Due to the length, it is recommended to use the name Alone and Incomplete for distributions.

Slot Information

It is recommended to put this track on the DK Summit slot for the snow effect.
