Thank you for joining the Custom Mario Kart Wiiki!

Before you get started, Click here to read the Rules page.

Keep the following in mind as you contribute to the site:

  • Make good edits. Always use the SHOW PREVIEW button to check your changes before you use the SAVE button. If you make a mistake, wait 15 minutes before saving the same page a third or fourth time in a row.
  • Saving lots of edits without PREVIEWING will get the moderators on your case, and can get you banned from the Wiiki.
  • If you plan to update a lot of pages in a short period of time, please clear it with a moderator first.
  • Write articles in third person (using words like he, she and they) instead of first person (I, me and we.) User pages and talk pages are the exceptions to this rule.
  • Use correct grammar, spelling and capitalization.
  • If someone posts on your talk page, please post a reply.
  • Sign all of your posts on talk pages with four tildes (~~~~). This will turn into your name and the time you wrote the comment.
  • Don't delete anything from your talk page.
  • Use the Templates on the Main Page when making new articles for content such as Custom Tracks, Texture Hacks, Characters and other releases.
  • We encourage all content makers to create a User Link to put on their release pages and to add it to the Author List.

Canary Bay

Black screen with Canary Bay v3.1. Tested at slots 3.1 and 7.1. -- Wiimm (talk) 16:50, 30 April 2018 (UTC)

It might have to do with the BRRES, which gives me an error when I preview the model in BrawlBox. Currently trying to fix this problem. --KantoEpic (talk) 18:53, 30 April 2018 (UTC)
I've still been trying to fix the blackscreen, but with no success as of yet. --KantoEpic (talk) 18:40, 1 May 2018 (UTC)
The update is now released. I think the slow motion bug is present on some parts of the track, but I'm unsure right now. --KantoEpic (talk) 22:44, 5 May 2018 (UTC)
Worked! But I fo8und another issue: Coming from the boardwalk you can jump to the green plateau with a mushroom and use a short cut. You have to drive at the left, otherwise the lap does not count. -- Wiimm (talk) 12:03, 6 May 2018 (UTC)
Is this true? I thought I optimized the checkpoints in that area... --KantoEpic (talk) 16:13, 6 May 2018 (UTC)
Only now did I realize that the check points in that shortcut area needed to be extended. They should be fixed. --KantoEpic (talk) 22:09, 25 November 2018 (UTC)

Tomb of Anubis

Only an info about Tomb of Anubis: I updated the version numbers of my database following the current state of the page. -- Wiimm (talk) 17:27, 15 July 2018 (UTC)

Cool. Sorry if it may seem a little confusing, as I had to look through files a bunch of times. --KantoEpic (talk) 17:40, 15 July 2018 (UTC)
Each time I get a new file, I compare the version numbers. Sometime updates and versioning are very mysterious and look like scrambled. This is especially true for old tracks, because in the past I get tacks from many different sources. -- Wiimm (talk) 20:40, 15 July 2018 (UTC)
Interesting. Thanks again for editing the version numbers on your archive. --KantoEpic (talk) 23:55, 15 July 2018 (UTC)

Download Links

A lot of tracks need download links. I ask because the WBZ to SZS converter is just confusing to me. Tigerman (talk) 20:51, 18 July 2018 (UTC)

I am aware about that, since most downloads have either been taken down or just don't exist anymore. I've been busy with track updates for a bit, so I haven't gotten to restore downloads as much as I would like to. --KantoEpic (talk) 21:46, 18 July 2018 (UTC)
Ok. Tigerman (talk) 21:53, 18 July 2018 (UTC)
Do you have the download link to Green Loop? Tigerman (talk) 20:09, 21 July 2018 (UTC)
Yes, I do have them. --KantoEpic (talk) 20:30, 21 July 2018 (UTC)
Can you post that one on the page? The old download link was broken so I erased it. Green Loop is the only one I need. Tigerman (talk) 20:32, 21 July 2018 (UTC)
Fixed. --KantoEpic (talk) 20:41, 21 July 2018 (UTC)
Thanks! Tigerman (talk) 20:47, 21 July 2018 (UTC)

Hi Kanto Epic can you put download links for Autumn forest, autumn leavesway, riverview square, and rocrygma mines? Blake (talk) 19:49, 16 October 2020 (UTC)

I might look into those tracks. Are you unable to convert WBZ files to SZS files for yourself? --KantoEpic (talk) 23:30, 16 October 2020 (UTC)
I don't know how to convert the wbz files to szs files that's the only problem Blake (talk) 23:39, 16 October 2020 (UTC)
Have you tried installing and using the WBZ Converter? This is what I use for file conversion. --KantoEpic (talk) 23:41, 16 October 2020 (UTC)
Yes but I don't know how to use itBlake (talk) 00:17, 17 October 2020 (UTC)
To set it up, you need the Race/Course directory of the game; you can either put the unmodified track files within /original-race-course or use an ISO/WBFS file within /original-image/, but it should have unmodified track files. You do not need to do this again if everything goes right. Then, you place your WBZ files in WBZ-to-SZS and click on the convert-WBZ-to-SZS batch script for them to convert to SZS files. You can place more than one WBZ file in the directory, and you should remove them once they have been converted. --KantoEpic (talk) 00:31, 17 October 2020 (UTC)
Ok but is there a video tutorial of how to do itBlake (talk) 01:03, 17 October 2020 (UTC)
Not that I know of. --KantoEpic (talk) 02:01, 17 October 2020 (UTC)
Oh ok can you please do a tutorial? --Unsigned comment by Blake (talk).
I cannot be bothered to. Someone may make a tutorial involving WBZ conversion if they wish, but that is not part of my interest. --KantoEpic (talk) 02:14, 17 October 2020 (UTC)
where do i extract the file to after i download it Blake (talk) 02:27, 17 October 2020 (UTC)
You can place the WBZ Converter wherever you want – even on a removable drive. --KantoEpic (talk) 03:06, 17 October 2020 (UTC)
Oh ok but are you gonna put download links for those 4 tracks Blake (talk) 03:09, 17 October 2020 (UTC)
If you look above, I said that "I might." However, I will probably look into Autumn Forest tonight. The thing is, with tracks like these, I try to see if distributions like MKW Hack Pack have versions that were never published, which takes me longer than most people when they deal with reuploading files. --KantoEpic (talk) 04:29, 17 October 2020 (UTC)
And by the way when I said autumn leavesway I meant autumn raceway Blake (talk) 13:26, 17 October 2020 (UTC)
I was aware about that. --KantoEpic (talk) 23:04, 17 October 2020 (UTC)
And by the way what did you mean when you said race/course directory of the game Blake (talk) 13:29, 22 October 2020 (UTC)
The Race/Course directory contains the track files within a Mario Kart Wii game disc. The Filesystem page would probably help with what I am referring to – this specifically. --KantoEpic (talk) 15:28, 22 October 2020 (UTC)

Is there a concise or rapid way of seeing what tracks need wbz->szs conversions? These conversions are a contribution I might be able to make but I'm wondering if there's a better method than to sequentially try to download every track's szs file. Jc5504 (talk) 14:30, 21 October 2020 (UTC)

I don't believe there's a way to check tracks that need it for older versions, but for ones missing them all together you can check Category:Broken Downloads. Trainiax/SwampyGator (talk) 14:33, 21 October 2020 (UTC)
Not that I know of. I just list down which pages need new download links and versions that were unpublished – such as those from distributions. --KantoEpic (talk) 18:19, 21 October 2020 (UTC)

Rainbow Galaxy Staff Ghosts

KantoEpic please allow me to share staff ghost for Rainbow Galaxy ! Please tell ANoob that this is just for helping him people have staff ghosts on his race ! Thanks ! --Unsigned comment by Gold'N Zic 23 (talk).

I am perfectly fine with you making ghosts for tracks - that's a good thing. But please don't make pages designed specifically for the ghosts.
You can always create your user page and link the ghosts there. That's perfectly fine. --KantoEpic (talk) 18:28, 29 July 2018 (UTC)
Ok well I Will do this ! Sorry for having insist, I wasn't expecting that this serve to nothing ! You know, I'm new ! --Unsigned comment by Gold'N Zic 23 (talk).

Hi there ! I have posts my staff ghost links on my user page ! If you have Rainbow Galaxy course and you wanna download them, there isn't any problem ;) ! Plus, I work hard when doing the original staff ghost in order to make it nice just like if it is a Nintendo one ! But for the expert staff ghost no ! Lol --Unsigned comment by Gold'N Zic 23 (talk).

Also, it looks nice too ;) --Unsigned comment by Gold'N Zic 23 (talk).

Disambiguation for custom tracks

Do you like to create an template for disambiguation pages for custom tracks? We have several ct with same name, but different variants. Rainbow Jungle and Rainbow Jungle (MrDark35000vr) is an example. I asked you, because your english is very well.

-- Wiimm (talk) 09:18, 1 August 2018 (UTC)

It might work because some custom tracks already have disambiguation pages (Sandy Strait for example). Would there be anyone else on board with that? --KantoEpic (talk) 16:56, 1 August 2018 (UTC)
-- Wiimm (talk) 06:04, 2 August 2018 (UTC)
What if two versions of a track are completely different, such as Grass Road? --KantoEpic (talk) 17:36, 2 August 2018 (UTC)
Then they shouldn't share the same disambiguation page, -- Wiimm (talk) 20:08, 6 August 2018 (UTC)
OK, thank you. --KantoEpic (talk) 20:20, 6 August 2018 (UTC)

Enemy routes in battle arenas

For the moment I'm ready with Enemy routes in battle arenas. Feel free to improve my english (I know, you did it for many pages, and I like it). -- Wiimm (talk) 20:08, 6 August 2018 (UTC)

I'll check for grammar errors whenever I feel like it. --KantoEpic (talk) 20:20, 6 August 2018 (UTC)

PM @ Wii-Homebrew.com

Have you seen my private message? -- Wiimm (talk) 05:14, 11 August 2018 (UTC)

Just replied to it. --KantoEpic (talk) 16:46, 11 August 2018 (UTC)

Candy Mountains

Please don't mess with custom track without asking permission. You are going against the creator's intentions. We intentionally scaled the minimap this way. If you want to make some adjustments for a distribution it's totally fine. However, don't make it an official release. Thank you so much in advance! --MrKoeikoei (talk) 19:35, 24 August 2018 (UTC)

I might as well mark the update as unofficial in that case. You didn't have to undo my entire edit, though. --KantoEpic (talk) 19:46, 24 August 2018 (UTC)
Never mind. Leseratte did that for me when I was typing this message. --KantoEpic (talk) 19:46, 24 August 2018 (UTC)
One more thing: The update was from v3 of MKW Hack Pack − I had to release it. The Published Works Policy says so, which I have been doing for other tracks as well. --KantoEpic (talk) 20:09, 24 August 2018 (UTC)

Notification

Did you notice this: Talk:Delfino Bay -- Wiimm (talk) 11:34, 1 September 2018 (UTC)

Yes, I have. Sorry if I didn't reply to it proper. --KantoEpic (talk) 16:28, 1 September 2018 (UTC)

Warp Pipe Island

I don't understand the reasons to rename Warp Pipe Island to DS Dokan Course. Dokan is a boring long track. Warp* has another and shorter racing line. If I played Warp* I haven't any association with Dokan. Maybe Warp* is inspired by Dokan, but it is definitely not Dokan.

Other reasons to stay at Warp Pipe Island:

  • Total other characteristics.
  • Authors wish.
  • Wario's Lair looks much as N64 Wario Stadium, but is different and has its own name. (there are other examples).

-- Wiimm (talk) 12:09, 20 November 2018 (UTC)

Agreed with this, the name DS Dokan dosent fit at all Zachruff (talk) 17:49, 20 November 2018 (UTC)
No reaction by KantoEpic or Luke Chandler?? -- Wiimm (talk) 14:53, 23 November 2018 (UTC)
I've shown Luke and he agrees 100% it should be called Warp Pipe Island, you should probably just put it back cuz idk where kanto is. -- Zachruff (talk) 14:59, 23 November 2018 (UTC)
Sorry, I've just been doing nothing for the past few days. Anyway, Wiimm, if I were to revert the page back to how it was, should I still keep the {{about}} part of the page, but tweak it a bit? --KantoEpic (talk) 20:34, 23 November 2018 (UTC)
You are the show runner here and do too much edits every days. So a break of some days is a good choice. I would remove the {{about}} part and add a description about the inspiration, Wingcapman's heritage and Luke's finalizing. -- Wiimm (talk) 23:25, 23 November 2018 (UTC)
Thanks for reverting. I haven't time for it because working at the new SZS tools + patcher. -- Wiimm (talk) 08:12, 24 November 2018 (UTC)

Mushroom Creek

Yeah, alright. I'll be short on this one. Changing a Wiki page cutting content because "it's too descriptive" is madness. A Wikipedia page is supposed to give as much information as possible on a certain topic or subject, and a Wiki is a specialized Wikipedia section, nothing more, nothing less. Thus, cutting content from a Wiki page legitimately corresponds to literally preventing a visitor of said page from having half of the information they can have. On the other hand, I think that there are a lot of CT pages that contain informations that are way too concise.

That said, I am going to restore the original page once again, deleting all the name translations I'm uncertain of to avoid misinformative content. I'd also like to point that no information is unneeded in a Wiki.

Peace. --Unsigned comment by Quattro (talk).

Me and Atlas discussed about the page privately. We agreed that it was overly detailed and too long. The overview only really needs a short summary of the track. --KantoEpic (talk) 23:48, 19 February 2019 (UTC)

Snake Circuit

Kanto, I uploaded the wrong file. I took it down because it’s not RC3. It was just a test version for Huili that I accidentally labeled as RC3. Now can you please let me take it down? Toxic Prime (talk) 04:00, 11 July 2019 (UTC)

There's no point in removing it now, since the Published Works Policy says this:
Custom content, once added to the Wiiki, can be included in any Distribution, even if removed from the Wiiki in the future, and the content itself may get mirrored by Wiiki users even if the original download link is deleted.
I told you earlier on Discord that I actually downloaded the file (which you haven't removed, by the way). Regardless, you can always release a new version as RC3.1 (or something like that) and it would be made up for the mistake you made earlier. --KantoEpic (talk) 04:33, 11 July 2019 (UTC)

Oopsie

So I created my User:JoshuaMK page, and tried to link Dongo Cave and Bowser's Challenge to it by editing my name from JoshuaMK to JoshuaMK, but it just says the page doesn't exist. How is this fixed, or will I have to create a whole new page? --Unsigned comment by JoshuaMK (talk).

JoshuaMK is used as a redirect page for your user page, which didn't exist until I made it. --KantoEpic (talk) 07:15, 20 November 2019 (UTC)

Adding a newer YouTube Video

If there are three older versions of a track in the youtube section, which version should I remove in order to keep a newer version up? I deleted 2.0 because it was older, as well as a Time Trial which was not recommended. Trainiax - Waiting for Incendia Castle... 03:23, 26 December 2019 (UTC)

It depends on what the updates actually do and how many there are. Regarding your edit on the Overnight Road page, it wouldn't really be agreeable to have both v2.1 and v2.2 in the Media section and not v2.0 and v2.2. v2.0 doesn't have mipmaps for the rainbow road texture, while v2.1 and v2.2 do, along with object edits. They may not be huge changes, but they're noticeable enough.
For something such as Sky Beach, there's many changes from a version like RC6 to v1.0, and then to v2.0. It would be a different story if there was a different video limit, but it would make scrolling through a page much more of a chore. --KantoEpic (talk) 04:06, 26 December 2019 (UTC)

PAGENAME

Since this was just made in a recent edit on BMD, I was wondering if you could clarify what proper use of the PAGENAME constant/template is meant to be? Over the years I have noticed admins/moderators/other staff swap the "magic word" out for a plain copy of the page title. Contrast this with articles like Mario Kart: Super Circuit, which utilizes the magic word numerous times. Is it a matter of the magic word being longer or shorter than a plain copy of the page's title? I'd like to know this for future edits/articles. --SuperMario64DS (talk) 01:14, 14 February 2020 (UTC)

Most pages on this website don't use the {{PAGENAME}} template in the Overview. I don't see the need for using it outside of the {{Misc-Info}} template box for custom tracks and the like. --KantoEpic (talk) 01:46, 14 February 2020 (UTC)
Alright, thank you. I will try to keep edits inline other standards I can identify in the future. --SuperMario64DS (talk) 01:50, 14 February 2020 (UTC)

Distribution support by ct.wiimm.de

3x Hack Pack included. Many files are unknown (it's ok for me). -- Wiimm (talk) 07:50, 23 February 2020 (UTC)

I'm not surprised at all. The amount of unknown files might increase when I send you the rest of the MKW Hack Pack versions, which I'll get back to soon. --KantoEpic (talk) 07:53, 23 February 2020 (UTC)
First I'll tell you, that you are tired. Second, 3 distribution added. I set v5.openbeta as predecessor of v6.01. -- Wiimm (talk) 07:49, 29 February 2020 (UTC)
There are three more versions left to add: v5.0, v5.0a (which literally only has one track difference) and v6.0. I'll try to finish these up by the weekend. --KantoEpic (talk) 08:22, 29 February 2020 (UTC)
I'll change the predecessor with the release. -- Wiimm (talk) 10:13, 29 February 2020 (UTC)
I added your 3 last uploads. Here you can see the series name (important for distrib links): https://ct.wiimm.de/dis
-- Wiimm (talk) 12:47, 3 April 2020 (UTC)
Awesome! I'm guessing the series name only implies to distributions with more than one version? --KantoEpic (talk) 03:46, 4 April 2020 (UTC)
Correct. -- Wiimm (talk) 06:34, 4 April 2020 (UTC)
Alright. Should I send you direct track and arena files that don't match SHA1 hashes on your archive privately on Wii-Homebrew.com? --KantoEpic (talk) 06:41, 4 April 2020 (UTC)
Yes, but I need name+version to identify the tracks. -- Wiimm (talk) 09:30, 4 April 2020 (UTC)
I found a bug while managing SHA1 aliases. So it's better (less work for both of us) to wait until I fixed it, because some missed filed will be solved. -- Wiimm (talk) 10:31, 4 April 2020 (UTC)
Please follow: User talk:Wiimm#hp-vX -- Wiimm (talk) 14:16, 4 April 2020 (UTC)

Sssniperwolf's Answer From Their Talk Page

It is not really fair that there isn't enough grammar for me to fix, so I have to make an edit of some kind. I'm using some tool and it underlines grammar in red if it detects any errors but I don't get many. It just underlines categories and tells me to space the semi-colons. --Sssniperwolf (talk) 20:04, 7 March 2020 (UTC)

Don't believe a tool but proof by yourself. And it seems, that your tools likes british more then american english. -- Wiimm (talk) 20:31, 7 March 2020 (UTC)
Sniper, the Custom Mario Kart Wiiki isn't meant to be a place that is only being cleaned up by you. In fact, you're not cleaning anything – you're doing the opposite most of the time. While this website is owned by someone from Germany and a few other key users are also from that country or somewhere near it, we use American English for articles, as you can tell. You're welcome to help out with improving articles, but what you've been doing hasn't been helpful. --KantoEpic (talk) 20:43, 7 March 2020 (UTC)

2nd ktpt alternative

I got a hint from Wiimm not to make alternative version with 2nd ktpt yesterday. Can I change Yoshi's Pyramid v1.2.le to v1.2.1? -- Kazuki 12:03, 12 April 2020 (UTC)

Maybe wrong! So for clearness: You got a hint to make only a version with 2nd ktpt. And if you do so, don't make a version without 2nd ktpt, because the first version can be used with and without LE-CODE. -- Wiimm (talk) 12:46, 12 April 2020 (UTC)
I changed the version number because the update essentially does nothing if you're not using LE-CODE. Like Wiimm said, however, if you're going to release an update of a track, don't have a separate version that doesn't include a secondary start position. --KantoEpic (talk) 00:32, 13 April 2020 (UTC)

Bugs

Why do you always remove the "Known Bugs" from my page??? --SitBar (talk) 07:56, 27 April 2020 (UTC)

My mistake. I knew the track did not blackscreen/crash on console, but it only occurs on CTGP Revolution. --KantoEpic (talk) 23:48, 27 April 2020 (UTC)

Disrespectful

What you said about Degeso is incredibly disrespectful. This is literally the reason he didn't release many of his mods in the first place. You shouldn't just delete an unfinished page because you have a bias against the creator. --Bodacious (talk) 22:06, 22 May 2020 (UTC)

There was no way I would have known he was going to release his Legoshi mod at some point. I thought it was going to be something he would give to a few people. I have never held a grudge against Degeso, considering I knew him longer than most – when he was known as DabuDos. I apologize for this. --KantoEpic (talk) 23:05, 22 May 2020 (UTC)

My Thwomp Meadows error

Apologies for this "It is not on Wiimm's archive yet. Regardless, you put the WBZ ID for Thwomp Meadows in all instances of your distribution" I Thought that I was making a link to the distribution on Wiimms CT archive for HackerCop's Track Pack not that I was making a link to thwomp meadows. Thanks for reverting my mistakes --HackerCop (talk) 20:12, 20 June 2020 (UTC)

All good. The update for your distribution is not on Wiimm's archive, which is why I changed your edits. When it is on Wiimm's archive, make sure you are using the right WBZ IDs. --KantoEpic (talk) 21:15, 20 June 2020 (UTC)

Distribution versions in custom tracks

At the custom track distributions section in Just Another Bowser Castle why did you change it from HackerCop's Track Pack (v1.3.1) to HackerCop's Track Pack (v1.1). The track was only included in version 1.3.1. Thanks --HackerCop (talk) 20:15, 22 June 2020 (UTC)

It refers to the version number(s) of a track/arena, not the distribution. --KantoEpic (talk) 20:49, 22 June 2020 (UTC)
That makes sense. I thought it was the version of the distribution. --HackerCop (talk) 07:26, 23 June 2020 (UTC)
I introduced it years ago to document the track version. At that time I wrote "MKW-Fun 2015-02 (v1.3)". So it was clear, that "2015-02" is the version number of the distribution and "v1.3" the track version. But now we have examples, where it is not clear. -- Wiimm (talk) 23:10, 22 June 2020 (UTC)
This is especially true when a version number of a track/arena matches a former distribution version number, which happened with Just Another Bowser Castle and HackerCop's Track Pack. --KantoEpic (talk) 23:14, 22 June 2020 (UTC)

Wrong file, need it deleated

Please could you delete the first upload of this file quickly File:HackerCops licence and Mii.jpg I want to keep the one with the friend code blurred out. I tried to do it myself but it appears that I don't have the user privileges. Thanks --HackerCop (talk) 14:50, 8 July 2020 (UTC)

Deleted it before I checked my user talk page. --KantoEpic (talk) 14:52, 8 July 2020 (UTC)

Fixed? Neon Funky Problem

I'm so sorry I have you this problem with the download. This is my first time posting a texture on MK Wiiki. I hope this is now fixed and it is possible to use the skin. Hope you enjoy! --Unsigned comment by TheN00b21 (talk).

It works now. Thank you for taking your time to fix the problem. --KantoEpic (talk) 19:08, 14 July 2020 (UTC)

Breaks in user link?

Hey, I was wondering why you keep adding breaks into my user link. You keep editing where it is when I add stuff, is there some format rule I need to follow? Whipinsnapper (talk) 16:40, 17 July 2020 (UTC)

It did not look properly formatted when viewed within a maximized window. That is why I kept updating the user link to adjust line breaks. --KantoEpic (talk) 16:42, 17 July 2020 (UTC)
Ah, gotcha. I usually use the Wiiki on my phone so it looks a bit funky anyway. No worries! Whipinsnapper (talk) 17:04, 17 July 2020 (UTC)

Stop arbitrarily modifying our track's credits, please.

You have been altering me and Remurin's track Blazing Subterrane's page multiple times over the past weeks, with things that I do not agree with. Our track was released on the 13th of July, yet you keep changing it back to the 12th. Your argument is "the release in the CT Jam discord wasn't private" however it definitely was, it's a small server and our track was distributed anonymously. It was given to the people there to test drive the track before the public release. What if I made changes to the track before the next day? I beg you, please stop changing the date back. I as a track author should have the right to decide what time I release my tracks.
Besides that, you arbitrarily added Remurin to the "creators" list, when I made the conscious decision to mark him only as a designer, since he had never touched the track's files besides that. As much as designer and creator are both equally responsible for a track, they're not the same thing. Please, stop arbitrarily changing things based on what you might have read somewhere. We made the track, we know who did what. Furthermore, I think both creators and designers should be considered authors, and yet Remurin somehow doesn't deserve to get his author information listed on Saltwater Lake because apparently "designers aren't authors." I call nonsense on that one. I want to ask you again, please stop changing the credits of our tracks seemingly arbitrarily. I'm done with this edit battle. My track is my track. You don't get to decide its credits nor my release date. I'm done with this nonsense.

I left the date as the 12th because it was not only consistent with the deadline for the tracks of that specific Jam, but the file was most definitely not private. Did you know that the Custom Track Jams Discord server is still publicly accessible through the singular invite link found within the Custom Track Jam page itself and in YouTube video descriptions, which can be shared to anyone by anyone? Did you know that you do not even need a proper account to access the files? I already discussed about the "privacy" on its talk page, which did not get any replies on it, but I did have a discussion about it with some of the participants within the Discord server. The current situation with the tracks without articles is a giant, giant mess, and there is no solution as of yet.
I mean, you are technically right about the release date. However, if I released a mod somewhere that is publicly accessible but I did not announce such and I placed it where not many people would find it, and then later on I made its Wiiki page along with an announcement that it was released, what do you think would be the ideal release date? I would go for the former – I have seen this happen with music projects before. Plus, the other tracks from the latest Jam (as of this message) and other Jams share their respective dates for their first releases, so I do not see why you want to make an exception for only your track. I think it is easier to track if the date were kept, honestly.
I will revert what I did with Remurin's credit on your track. That is definitely my fault. However, with something like Block Fortress where I did edit some parts of the initial model back in July 2018, do I really deserve to have my user link listed below? Designers can be authors, but that is not the case at times. Look at Speedwagon Speedway, for example; Putinas made the initial model and Jasperr edited it, but Toxic Prime made the track playable. Jasperr nor Putinas touched the track files; they contributed to the designing process only. --KantoEpic (talk) 17:14, 21 July 2020 (UTC)

Creating a help page on the Wiiki

Hello KantoEpic, I was thinking that we should create a help page on the Wiiki so that people who need help can post their issues there and others can help them. By doing this it would mean firstly that all help requests are in the same place so that people with the same problem would be able to find solutions easily. It also makes it easier for helpers to help others if all the help requests are on the same page. By having all the helpers in one place it would also mean that they could edit each others replies to improve them/fix mistakes more easily.

I'm proposing this because I've seen that many people have just posted their help requests on the talk pages of advanced modders/custom track tutorial/main page/software programs which is slightly inappropriate as these pages are really for discussing the improvement of the page. In the case of advanced modders many do not offer help/requests meaning that people fruitlessly edit the talk pages of many users hoping that one will help.

I believe that having a wiki help page would solve all these problems and I'm 100% willing to create one and help people on it but I'd appreciate your thoughts on this before proceeding. Also preferably there should be a link to it on the main page if it is successful to make it easier for people who need help to find it. Thanks --HackerCop ❯❯❯ Talk 17:38, 1 August 2020 (UTC)

I completely forgot about this message. Anyway, I am not entirely too sure about this suggestion. I will probably discuss this with other staff members and see what they have to say. --KantoEpic (talk) 06:16, 17 August 2020 (UTC)

Android/iOS Tracks

Can you please add this to the home page? Thanks! MarkAlbertsma03 (talk) 18:58, 29 August 2020 (UTC)

I added it along with a few other mod directories. --KantoEpic (talk) 00:43, 30 August 2020 (UTC)

I was just browsing on the wiki and I noticed that the MKT Tracks weren't on Help:Retro List Legend. Can you squeeze those in between? Thanks! MarkAlbertsma03 (talk) 04:48, 10 September 2020 (UTC)

Added. --KantoEpic (talk) 05:30, 10 September 2020 (UTC)

GeckoLoader

It hasn't appeared in the home page yet, it's been 4 days since I posted it...

How are people supposed to know it exists? Can you please fix this, I've seen other tools appear on the recent releases tab. JoshuaMK (talk) 17:34, 12 September 2020 (UTC)

You did not update the program on the same day you made the Wiiki page for it. That is why I did not add it to the News. --KantoEpic (talk) 19:05, 12 September 2020 (UTC)

Uploading files

Is there a way to upload multiple files at once? MarkAlbertsma03 (talk) 18:39, 21 September 2020 (UTC)

I am pretty sure you have to upload them one by one. --KantoEpic (talk) 22:12, 21 September 2020 (UTC)

Mario Kart Tour Pictures

Why did you delete them? A wiki should provide as much information as it can and I have all the vehicles from Mario Kart Tour ready to be uploaded. MarkAlbertsma03 (talk) 07:01, 26 September 2020 (UTC)

I think it would be better to have references for the vehicles instead. --KantoEpic (talk) 18:26, 26 September 2020 (UTC)
References for the vehicles are a good idea, but I still think a preview of the vehicle on the page would be nice. You can see how the vehicle looked like in the actual game rather than remakes that might not be 100% accurate. MarkAlbertsma03 (talk) 07:34, 27 September 2020 (UTC)

Characters

On Help:List of Custom Characters/Vehicles it specifically says no characters without wiki pages? Trainiax/SwampyGator (talk) 01:26, 15 October 2020 (UTC)

This is funny because this means Atlas was breaking the rule when he added his characters onto the page a few years ago, though now they have pages thanks to Mark. I will see if this rule needs to be slightly adjusted or not. Regardless, Whipinsnapper does plan to make pages for his characters with only download links. --KantoEpic (talk) 01:42, 15 October 2020 (UTC)
The rule will remain as is. It is better this way. --KantoEpic (talk) 21:16, 15 October 2020 (UTC)

GBA Yoshi Desert (MysterE99) Ghost

as you have made a ghost in GBA Yoshi Desert RC2 from Ethanmark7199? and then when I go to ct.wiimm.de/i/03C15AA81DEF13F066C538CD2840C1D13DBDD8F6 and it puts me No track found! --Unsigned comment by Sergio Gimenez Alcaraz (talk).

Cheat Code pages deletion

Why did you delete the pages on my infinite blue and green shell cheats :(, is it because my codes aren't original enough? I made them by concatenating other people's codes (they were credited on the page) and editing values to achieve the effects I want. For example most beginners (myself 3 months ago) don't know that you need to use an item limit modifier as well as the always have item codes to get infinite items but my codes combined these and filled out all the values for the beginner meaning that they could just run the code and play. The codes were really popular on my YT channel, it's not like they were spam etc. I was planning to release more codes on this site so what criteria do I need to meet? --HackerCop ❯❯❯ Talk 17:33, 14 November 2020 (UTC)

They were not original cheat codes. They were also not that useful. --KantoEpic (talk) 00:42, 15 November 2020 (UTC)

Thanks!

Thanks Kanto for fixing the download links tomorrow I'll be playing the remake F-Zero White Land (Jefe) Sergio Gimenez Alcaraz 15:32, 26 November 2020 (UTC)
