Welcome to the Custom Mario Kart Wiiki!

Wiiki.png

Thank you for joining the Custom Mario Kart Wiiki!

Before you get started, Click here to read the Rules page.

Keep the following in mind as you contribute to the site:

  • Make good edits. Always use the SHOW PREVIEW button to check your changes before you use the SAVE button. If you make a mistake, wait 15 minutes before saving the same page a third or fourth time in a row.
  • Saving lots of edits without PREVIEWING will get the moderators on your case, and can get you banned from the Wiiki.
  • If you plan to update a lot of pages in a short period of time, please clear it with a moderator first.
  • Write articles in third person (using words like he, she and they) instead of first person (I, me and we.) User pages and talk pages are the exceptions to this rule.
  • Use correct grammar, spelling and capitalization.
  • If someone posts on your talk page, please post a reply.
  • Sign all of your posts on talk pages with four tildes (~~~~). This will turn into your name and the time you wrote the comment.
  • Don't delete anything from your talk page.
  • Use the Templates on the Main Page when making new articles for content such as Custom Tracks, Texture Hacks, Characters and other releases.
  • We encourage all content makers to create a User Link to put on their release pages and to add it to the Author List.

Thank you! 🏁_____🌲______🚗_____🌳 Krummers (talk) 11:28, 4 January 2021 (UTC)

Regarding your edits

I spent some time editing your page and you basically undid them again. Please don't to that again in the future. The moderators try to keep this wiki clean and consistent, and undoing such edits are seen as counter productive editing. 🏁_____🌲______🚗_____🌳 Krummers (talk) 10:14, 9 January 2021 (UTC)

Hi MarkAlbertsma03. Sorry about that. Regarding your last update, Mario Kart 8 and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe apparently have slightly different musics. Mount Wario’s (replacing Toad’s Factory) has 4 different ones, so I needed to specify which ones I was referring to. For DK’s Snowboard Cross and Chain Chomp Roulette, I added those names as well because I use the PAL version of Mario Kart Wii. And lastly, for the class=alts, KantoEpic said that they make the lines on the table blue, so I decided to add one at the end of every cup. If not, then I would add one for every line. Why did you add them in only half of the spots? Sorry I wrote this really late. I was unable to write this earlier. AlmostTWD98 (User talk:AlmostTWD98) 11:22, 10 January 2021 (UTC)
1. Mario Kart 8 and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe do not have different soundtracks, so they should be listed as Mario Kart 8.
2. Tracks with multiple streams should be written down as: Mount Wario (Outside and Inside). You can rewrite the section your BRSTM replaces between the brackets.
3. This wiki only refers to the NTSC-U (America) version of the game, so PAL (Europe) names don't have to be on your page.
4. class=alt does make the lines on the table blue, but they should be switched every cup, not every track. Here is an example and that is what it should look like.
I hope this explains a lot! 🏁_____🌲______🚗_____🌳 Krummers (talk) 11:31, 10 January 2021 (UTC)
Thanks MarkAlbertsma03! AlmostTWD98 (User talk:AlmostTWD98) 19:38, 10 January 2021 (UTC)

You have spent the past days on this Wiiki trying to "fix" errors. The moderators and I have to undo basically everything. Please don't make any more edits, unless you are absolutely sure you see something wrong. Krummers(#1936) (talk) 07:32, 20 April 2021 (UTC)

Okay. Enjoy Funky Kong dancing and peace! (talk) 11:33, 20 April 2021 (UTC)

Friendly reminder that I have to undo basically all of your edits again. Please make sure to double check something when making an edit. Krummers(#1936) (talk) 10:21, 17 August 2021 (UTC)

Why did you undo that? And by the way, I just put the same message on your user page about 2 minutes ago. Enjoy Funky Kong dancing and peace! (Talk) 10:24, 17 August 2021 (UTC)

Please stop "Fixing errors." on talk pages; they give unnecessary emails to users. Krummers(#1936) (talk) 15:27, 6 October 2021 (UTC)

Stop moving pages unnecessarily. Krummers(#1936) (talk) 19:17, 18 November 2021 (UTC)

Okay. Enjoy Funky Kong dancing and peace! 19:21, 18 November 2021 (UTC)

Would you use the Show Preview button when you edit pages. The edits you made on the Font pages could have easily been avoided with previewing your edit. Not even touching those pages at all would have been the better option. It was quite unnecessary. Krummers(#1936) (talk) 05:38, 28 January 2022 (UTC)

Sorry. Enjoy Funky Kong dancing and peace! 13:14, 28 January 2022 (UTC)

AlmostTWD98.2 account creation?

Hi, was the account "AlmostTWD98.2" created by you or someone else? Just asking. -- Octanevinny (talk) 11:38, 07 February 2021 (UTC)

Hi Octanevinny! Yes it was. I didn’t realise you weren’t allowed to do that. I won’t do it again. Enjoy Funky Kong dancing and peace. (talk) 12:31, 9 February 2021 (UTC)

Signature

For the future, please don't go back and edit your signature in past messages. Try not to edit past messages at all. Trainiax/SwampyGator (talk) 13:35, 5 March 2021 (UTC)

Sorry. I won’t do it again. I’ll probably have too many to edit though. Enjoy Funky Kong dancing and peace! (talk) 20:02, 5 March 2021 (UTC)
Can someone please help fix my signature that I will use? When I put it into preferences, it comes out as black text and with the writing (span style...). Here it is. User:AlmostTWD98|Enjoy Funky Kong dancing and peace! Enjoy Funky Kong dancing and peace! (talk) 14:05, 21 April 2021 (UTC)
Try using this: [[User:AlmostTWD98|<span style="color:#b6e08c">Enjoy Funky Kong dancing and peace!</span>]] ([[User talk:AlmostTWD98|talk]]). It'll appear as "Enjoy Funky Kong dancing and peace! (talk)" Also, make sure to check "Treat signature as wikitext (without an automatic link)". -- Trainiax/SwampyGator (talk) 14:18, 21 April 2021 (UTC)
This is to test it. Enjoy Funky Kong dancing and peace! (talk) 23:11, 21 April 2021 (UTC)
This is another test. I just changed it. Enjoy Funky Kong dancing and peace! (talk) 23:14, 21 April 2021 (UTC)

The talk page doesn’t work but the signature does. Enjoy Funky Kong dancing and peace! (Talk) 23:27, 21 April 2021 (UTC)
The talk page does work. You just can't link to it because we're already on the talk page. Trainiax/SwampyGator (talk) 03:08, 22 April 2021 (UTC)

Moderator Messages

In the future, please try to avoid editing users' user pages, even if there are mistakes on them. Trainiax/SwampyGator (talk) 03:57, 17 March 2021 (UTC)

Sorry. I won’t do it again. Enjoy Funky Kong dancing and peace! (talk) 20:01, 17 March 2021 (UTC)

This is your last warning. User pages that aren't yours shouldn't be touched. Krummers(#1936) (talk) 14:06, 13 April 2021 (UTC)

Creating Track Pages

Please do not create pages for tracks, in CT Jams or not, without the author's knowledge and consent. I've given you a temporary block to make sure that you see this, if you respond I will revoke it immediately. Trainiax/SwampyGator (talk) 03:36, 23 July 2021 (UTC)

Sorry. I didn’t know that. I discussed with (I think) Bruh De La Boi on a now deleted talk page. Enjoy Funky Kong dancing and peace! (Talk) 03:50, 23 July 2021 (UTC)
Can I create pages for things released on GameBanana? Enjoy Funky Kong dancing and peace! (Talk) 13:20, 26 July 2021 (UTC)
You need the authors permission for that. Krummers(#1936) (talk) 13:52, 26 July 2021 (UTC)

CTGP Wishlist Page - Semi-Grief Edits

You have edited the CTGP Wishlist Page multiple times recently, randomly making changes that you count as 'fixes' with a few grief edits splashed in-between. On behalf of myself and the rest of the CTGP Track Council, we would like to ask you to immediately stop making such edits. We will be treating this edit and any further edits like this in the future as grief edits. Feel free to DM me on Discord @Carp#6969 with any further questions. --Carp (talk) 14:39, 17 August 2021 (UTC)

Download links

In one of your revisions, you had mentioned that you had the file for Forest Ruins (Dry Dry Ruins Texture). Could you please reupload it, along with anything else which you have that the Wiiki doesn't? Obviously, you can check Category:Broken Downloads for what has no download link. I'm only really asking for this as I can't work on download links myself for now, due to recently formatting and reinstalling Windows. Thanks! Tragiic (talk | contribs) 19:19, 18 October 2021 (UTC)

I just went through the list. I don’t have any other files. I only have that one because I use it. I’ll upload it as soon as I can. Enjoy Funky Kong dancing and peace! 23:21, 18 October 2021 (UTC)

About Editing My Pages

Hello. I am ZPLMAN. I make custom tracks. However, when I make custom tracks, sometimes I see you edit my wiki pages to fix, and I quote "not grammar fixes." All I ask is to please stop editing my pages for these any error in general, because it is either an error itself anyways, meanwhile wasting time, or something that doesn't need changing. Plus, it isn't your job. ZPL (talk) 22:13, 24 November 2021 (UTC)

This wiki is supposed to use correct grammar, punctuation and spelling. Most of the time, it isn't an error. I know changes aren't always necessary, but sometimes, it makes more sense if you reword it. I'm also a grammar Nazi, so it annoys me when incorrect grammar is used. Enjoy Funky Kong dancing and peace! 22:52, 24 November 2021 (UTC)
»I know changes aren't always necessary« Then why do you make them for no reason. Krummers(#1936) (talk) 15:49, 26 November 2021 (UTC)
Whenever I see a video with multiple tracks and one starts at (e.g.) 9:59 but the transition ends at 10:00, I find it irritating that you and KantoEpic keep changing it to 10:00. Sometimes, I have to slow it down to 0.25× speed. Enjoy Funky Kong dancing and peace! 22:44, 26 November 2021 (UTC)
Hi, I'm here to share my opinion, even though I don't think this is a serious issue. As this site reminds you every time you are editing a page, "If you do not want your writing to be edited mercilessly, then do not submit it here". Moreover, even though the improvements that AlmostTWD98 makes are usually minor (or "not always necessary"), and even though his edit summaries (e.g. "Fixed error.") are starting to become a meme, I still think his edits are improvements. Therefore, I don't see why they should be criticized. That is, for example, unless there is some technical limit to how many edits this site can handle. With that being said, I understand ZPL's frustration, but I think AlmostTWD98 is in the right here. -- Cealgair (talk|contribs) 23:09, 26 November 2021 (UTC)
One thing I'll say though is that I think Fixed error. is a bad edit summary, since it's too vague. For example, here the edit summary could have been fixed rowspan, and here it could have been "alterations" → "changes" (for consistency). The most important thing in edit summaries is saying as much as possible in as little space as possible, not being gramatically correct, so I think "alterations" → "changes" (for consistency) is better than Changed "alterations" to "changes" for consistency. -- Cealgair (talk|contribs) 10:34, 28 November 2021 (UTC)
I use keyboard shortcuts for my edit summaries. Sometimes, I add more information after 'Fixed error.' if I think it's necessary. I might make more keyboard shortcuts for 'Fixed grammatical error.' or 'Fixed consistency error.' Enjoy Funky Kong dancing and peace! 11:32, 28 November 2021 (UTC)
I think it would be more useful if you explained what was the error (e.g. "alterations" → "changes") rather than just saying it was a consistency error. So I don't think using keyboard shortcuts is a good idea. -- Cealgair (talk|contribs) 14:40, 28 November 2021 (UTC)
Okay. I'll use that. If there are too many to list, I'll just use 'Fixed errors.' Enjoy Funky Kong dancing and peace! 22:33, 28 November 2021 (UTC)
Hello, Random person who saw this conversation...In my opinion, sometimes having some typos or maybe even nonexistant words on a page is a good thing. Maybe the words only appear on the Urban Dictionary, which can still mean they are written Correctly. For instance, Officially, "PogChamp" is not considered a word, while the urban dictionary defines it as 'an amazing human being who is super cool'. Therefor it is a word. The use of such words is common among the younger members of the Wiiki. There is no signature. 14:58, 12 January 2022 (UTC) (User talk:GLiTCH)

About "fixing" edits that are not even added to the page

Hi. So I have noticed that you went and fixed a missing space on the version history for BrawlCrate, even though IT WAS NOT EVEN SHOWING ON THE PAGE. That missing space would have been noticed once I had finished adding in the whole changelogs from github. Do you really have nothing better with your time than to look through the code for pages to find typos before they are even put up? -- Lami (talk) 19:33, 11 January 2022 (UTC)

🔥🔥🔥 Jasperr (talk) 09:15, 12 January 2022 (NZST)
I literally looked through the edit for 10 seconds. I didn't carefully read through it. It was going to get fixed eventually anyway. Enjoy Funky Kong dancing and peace! 21:26, 11 January 2022 (UTC)
»It was going to get fixed eventually anyway.« Hence, there was no reason to touch the page until Lami had completely finished it. It was again not your job to do so. Krummers(#1936) (talk) 21:36, 11 January 2022 (UTC)

About editing the article Dubstep Music Pack

I've noticed that you've recently started making edits to my page. Though I understand that you've got helpfulness in mind, youre actually causing me trouble.

For instance: Your most recent edit to Dubstep Music Pack Re-adds the 3.0 presentation, the one that I, The author, manually removed to keep the bloat of the page down.

Would you mind explaining why you deemed it neccasery to add the video back to the article?

[Error404, Signature not found!] (GLiTCH|talk) 14:56, 22 January 2022 (UTC)

There is a maximum of three videos per page, so there was no reason to remove it. Krummers(#1936) (talk) 14:58, 22 January 2022 (UTC)
I was going to say that. Other pages also do that. Enjoy Funky Kong dancing and peace! 14:59, 22 January 2022 (UTC)
I see. Then please forgive me for my somewhat rash decision to call you out on it. [Error404, Signature not found!] (GLiTCH|talk) 15:54, 22 January 2022 (UTC)
That's okay. Enjoy Funky Kong dancing and peace! 15:57, 22 January 2022 (UTC)

I can't read your text

The contrast ratio between the green in your forum signature/user page and the white background is 1.49:1. Contrast ratio guidelines suggest that 4.5:1 is best for small text.

Vabold (talk) 07:59, 18 February 2022 (UTC)

Thanks for telling me! I made it bigger. Enjoy Funky Kong dancing and peace! 13:10, 18 February 2022 (UTC)
Bigger text has a guideline for 3:1. You're still 1:49.1.
