About Me
Hey, I'm Squadaloo. I technically started making custom tracks in 2010 under my original username of MrX8991 although my only release from that time period was GBA Mario Circuit (Squadaloo). However, I ran into numerous issues with the tools available back then and ended up not making much. Fast forward to 2021 and I decided to give it another shot now that the tools have improved. I'm mostly out to make tracks that more match Nintendo's design philosophy (2-3 minutes long, nothing too crazy).
In addition to custom tracks, I've been experimenting a lot with Dolphin VR and have been doing most of my recent playing in virtual reality using an Oculus Rift. As such, I haven't really checked out nor do I really use CTGP beyond using it to test my own tracks and I don't play online. Despite making Mario Kart Wii tracks, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is easily my favorite in the series. I have a tendency to get really into a community for a few months then drop out entirely for a long time so don't be surprised if I suddenly go quiet.

I also made a Mario Kart Wii texture pack for use with Dolphin using AI upscaled textures. I haven't created a page on this wiki for it given it's incompatible with actual Wiis which doesn't really fit with this wiki but you can check it out here.
