KMT File

Would it be possible to have a working KMT file available to download? I tried creating a file on my own and it didn't load properly in Mario Kart Wii. Do I need to make entries for all of the missions available? --TheZACAtac (talk) 7:37, 20 August 2017 (UTC)

Yes, it's not subject to any copyright and so anyone should be able to put one up without issue. I may put one up myself later, or if anyone else has a good dummy version, they could put theirs up. As for making your own, you really should create entries for every single level, even if they're just dummy entries, otherwise the game will try to read off the end of the file when accessing later missons. Though remember also, filling with all zeroes is bad because loading a KMT like that would result in many missions being Mario on the Standard Kart S, and that does not load.

Code Doesn't Work on Wii U

I tested on a NTSC-U Wii U and it doesn't work with Riivolution v1.06 ocarina codehandler. I've tried things like changing the patch ID in Riivolution, removing everything from my SD Card and adding everything back one by one, re-downloading Riivolution, trying with RiiFS, using different codes. Sometimes it even turns the entire screen green. Nothing worked and it still crashes right after the wrist strap screen fades out. -- TheLordScruffy (talk) 22:06, 20 August 2017 (UTC)

Codes were developed and tested on the AXNextFrame hook on Riivolution v1.04 and so they should at least work on that one. There shouldn't be any particular reason why they'd function differently on Wii U (or any other version of Riivolution or hook), I imagine your setup is somehow wrong, but I can't tell you in what way just based on that description.
