Kamek is a powerful Magikoopa and adviser to Bowser from the Mario franchise, first appearing in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island. In the Mario Kart franchise, his first appearance as a playable character is in the Kamek Tour from Mario Kart Tour.

Trivia
Kamek was originally going to be a playable character in Mario Kart 64, but he was replaced by Donkey Kong in the final version. In addition, his emblem that he now uses in Mario Kart Tour was found in the files of Mario Kart 8.
