Overview

This is a remake created by xBlue98. It updates the track to modern standards and was made specifically to benefit of Mario Kart Wii's physics and gameplay, updating the latter compared to the older versions. The track layout remains faithful to the original and features extensively updated graphics and details, elevation, an underwater section, and brand new alternative paths. The track also maintains a minimum of the notorious difficulty present in the original version, but overall, it is adequately rebalanced. All these aspects put together highlight it as the definitive and complete modern version of the track.

Trivia

  • This track was referenced in the background of GCN Bowser's Castle. In turn, this remake adds a reference by adding the same, but toned down, lightning effect in the background of the aforementioned track.
  • Some elements of this remake, like an underwater section and Fish Bones, are also present in Mario Kart Tour's remake of GBA Boo Lake, which released nearly a year later.
