I'm a fan of tecnhology, but in the case of a translation, humans are still superior. What use could you have with a bot?
Chadderz 16:45, 20 April 2012 (UTC)

I use the bot to make translating easier, I still translate it manually but it automatically reads the english and saves it to the wiki

MainPage in other Languages

Why you deleted it? It took me long. >:(
PC Freak 09:35, 24 April 2012 (UTC)

I think, he done it, because we are an english wiki and it's useless. -- Wiimm 09:40, 24 April 2012 (UTC)

Please reupload BFGlitch.png as a jpg, or save with compression. 1.5 mb is too large. --Jefe 23:31, 24 April 2012 (UTC)

I noticed that File:RockRockMountainPOC2.png is 1.9 mb. Please resize and save with compression. --Jefe 22:36, 13 May 2012 (UTC)

CTGP-R redirect

I notice you removed the CTGP-R redirect. I know there is also the CTGPR redirect, but the point of a redirect isn't just for a shortcut, it's also for people who don't know alternative names. If someone came to the site and searched CTGP-R it would be useful if it went to the right place immediately, especially considering that the correct page is actually the fourth result in the search for CTGP-R.
Chadderz 09:49, 13 May 2012 (UTC)

If a user enters "CTGP-R" he gets good search results. I think, redirects should be used for 2 things:
  • A real page was moved and the old name have either many links to it or is well known by the users.
  • A shortcut is often used in this wiki.
Wiimm 11:01, 13 May 2012 (UTC)
I agree with Chadderz. Redirects like that one help simplify searches for common terms. If you're new the the whole CT business, a simple redirect helps quite a bit, rather than trying to decipher the contents of several search results. Redirects also help more knowledgeable people reach a page quickly by typing in the abbreviated name into the search box. Redirects for CTGP, CTGPR, and CTGP-R should exist for these reasons. --Jefe 22:29, 13 May 2012 (UTC)

Deleting Pages

Please check to see if these pages are orphans before deleting them. If anything expand the articles.--Jefe 12:14, 27 August 2012 (UTC)

I assume you mean the Nintendo page, I did it because the page was very small and it only contained a logo and an external link. -- kHacker35000vr 12:18, 27 August 2012 (UTC)
Quite a few pages link to the Nintendo page. It had previously contained copy-pasted material from Wikipedia (a no-no.) It was changed to a short page with a link to Wikipedia. In some cases, a short article like that is appropriate. The short pages about CT makers should stay on the wiki for people like Kwark who don't have Wiiki accounts. This is to prevent dead links on pages like CTGP, and to give some brief info about those authors. It's best just to expand pages like that if possible. For example, you could link his forum profile, Youtube, or similar. --Jefe 13:09, 27 August 2012 (UTC)
See here: Special:MostLinkedPages. 93 pages link to Nintendo.--Jefe 13:14, 27 August 2012 (UTC)

That pages contained a single line, not giving any information. And red links are edited earlier than blue links, as people want to create a page for this person. If someone feels to he can re-create the page with more information. The Nintendo page is unneeded on this wiki and therefore removed due the lack of information. If I can fill in an empty page I would do it, I have done that multiple times, but on these pages I couldn't think of anything. -- kHacker35000vr 13:23, 27 August 2012 (UTC)
Our responsibility is to ensure that the Wiiki works properly. How does deleting one of the most linked-to articles serve that interest? To fix this problem we need to take one of these actions:
  1. Recreate the page the way it was.
  2. Edit all pages linking to Nintendo to remove the link or link offsite.
  3. Make a better article.
This will need to do this for the other articles as well, Captain Kwark linked to 10 different pages. --Jefe 18:31, 27 August 2012 (UTC)

Work for your bot

Can you set your bot to add <noinclude>[[category:Template/User]]</noinclude> to all uncategorized User Links? --Jefe 11:30, 19 October 2012 (UTC)

Sure, I'll work on it tonight. --kHacker35000vr 12:09, 19 October 2012 (UTC)

Sorry i don't where i can put this thema on... Could you add Iceway v5.0 to the ctgp page for the final release to update it from v3.1 to v5.0? Mkwjason 13:00, 15 November 2012 (UTC)

About editing the News Page

I think a reason people are confused about editing the news page is that the "Posting rules" here say to "sort by historical order, newest first", which is fine for dates, but you say that older items within that date are supposed to appear first. Can you just edit the Posting rules then?
Zilla 07:44, 23 November 2012 (UTC)

The usage of "has released" isn't correct, for two reasons. It sounds awkward, because people use the "has" to indicate something that happened in sequence before something else, or something that is ongoing. For example, "KHacker released Rock Rock Mountain today. He has enjoyed making tracks for the past few years." To state that something simply happened, you don't need the helper verb. The second reason, is that news posts should be as short as possible.--Jefe 16:08, 7 January 2013 (UTC)

Moderator Talk

You blocked JerryMKW because "Taking my textures without permission"?
This is a conflict with your role as moderator and role as author. If anyone block JerryMKW because of taking your textures (not a wiki issue), it must be another moderator. And yes, we need definitely a forum for only moderators.
Wiimm 22:33, 3 February 2013 (UTC)

There isn't really a clear border between those two, the wiki rules contain etiquette rules which I used as reason to block. And the fact I have told him this before and he swapped the textures with other textures from Rock Rock Mountain gave me enough reason to do it.
kHacker35000vr 14:04, 4 February 2013 (UTC)
First it is only an ethic rule (etiquette). My opinion is, that none of us can be the owner of a track because each track contains Nintendo stuff. A custom track is either illegal or public. And now please explain me the difference between using Nintendos textures/objects/subfiles or using your textures/objects/subfiles. The reason for the etiquette is to protect the authors stuff for a while. But it's still only an ethic point of view and not a hard rule.
My second argument is, that the whole CT scene lives from open or public tools/tracks/ideas/knowledge. Without sharing all of this, CT are not possible. So it's important to share all.
I agree, that using foreign textures without asking is definitely unfriendly. But in the Wiki I can't see, that JerryMKW did anything wrong. And so your block seems very subjective.
That's my position -- Wiimm 15:46, 4 February 2013 (UTC)

Dutch Retro Track Names

So you were wondering, where I got that "ridiculous" idea? Well, it's from MK7. MK7 is the only Mario Kart available in Dutch so far and all console abbreviations are suffixes rather than prefixes. Since we're trying to stay true to its original, it makes sence to do it the same way in Mario Kart Wii. -- NiAlBlack 23:31, 23 February 2013 (UTC)

First, you are not Dutch. Second, you should have discussed this in the first place. I absolutly don't want to stick to the 3DS translations at all, why are you? Every Dutch speaker of this game has played generations of English games. And in every game it was console first, then the name. In Dutch we don't start with the substantive and then after it the adjective, at least barly. And this is exactly how the retro track naming works. And further, almost all retro track translations are done by either me or other wiki contributors, not by Nintendo. So why should we do exactly what a random team of translators did for MK7?
kHacker35000vr 23:37, 23 February 2013 (UTC)
Why would it matter if I'm Dutch or not? Even if I was Dutch, I'd probably have done the same, simply because it's that way in MK7. And there's no need to explain me how Dutch grammar works, it's almost the same as in German since Dutch was originally a German dialect ;). -- NiAlBlack 23:46, 23 February 2013 (UTC)
All you do is looking to mk7. But you should also check the other languages, none of them has that weird order. I have decided to do it this way, so did other translators. So leave it like this.

Hey could I speak to you for a minute? Do you have an account on MarioKartWii or something I can pm you on? SuperStarLight (talk) 02:57, 13 March 2013 (UTC)

Sure you can. On I have an account with the same name I use everywhere.
kHacker35000vr (talk) 08:24, 13 March 2013 (UTC)

SpyKid's track obviously isn't a port, but it is the sort of thing some one might look for on the 3DS RR page, or might want to know about. It's a minor thing, but enough to justify a disambiguation page. Either way, it would have been more appropriate for you to discuss it rather than outright delete the page. --Jefe (talk) 15:15, 2 April 2013 (UTC)

Even though it shares the name it just doesn't deserve a disambiguation page. The best solution is to add a header at the top of the page notifying about Spykid's track like happens on wikipedia too. --kHacker35000vr (talk) 20:27, 2 April 2013 (UTC)

Removing my Video

I don´t understand why you removed my videos, but my videos had a better quality as some videos that I saw in the wiki. This is promoting your own videos, which is not where the wiki is for.)

Yes I know but the other people put the videos too on the page and I only removed the video, if the video had a bad quality. On old Custom Tracks there are not soo good videos. --9Horsti12 (talk) 21:30, 27 May 2013 (UTC)

Miky's Castle page deleted

Hi KHacker. You can recover the page of my CT? My project is in work! -Miky Jacksanne 15/06/2013 19:35 (Italy)

Rock Rock Ridge

Can i release a texture of this track ? I ask you because i'm making a new distribution that is CTGPR based, called THGPR and SpyKid doesn't want texture hacks of his track and told me about this track texture. Sure you don't want this ? I will put any CT creator on texture pages. User:dswii3ds (talk)

KMP Modifier

I have trouble importing an OBJ file into the Modifier. Any tips? Shadow (talk) 20:59, 8 August 2013 (UTC)

How exactly did you import the OBJ file and what went wrong? The KMP Modifier's obj importer is tested with obj files from the most common applications.
kHacker35000vr (talk) 21:45, 8 August 2013 (UTC)
I imported it by Tools -> Grid Background -> Import Wavefront OBJ. Once I imported my map.obj that I exported from SZS Modifier. It either doesn't appear at all or is overscaled.
  • Download to OBJ File: Map Shadow (talk) 17:26, 9 August 2013 (UTC)
This is the result I get on import: . Tested with the lastest release. It doesn't appear too big or too small at all.
kHacker35000vr (talk) 22:57, 9 August 2013 (UTC)
Weird, I get this on import. Shadow (talk) 00:06, 10 August 2013 (UTC)
I think I understand, do you write a half as 0.5? The KMP Modifier works with the metric system, which means that 0.5 in the obj is converted to 0,5 first before being drawn.
kHacker35000vr (talk) 10:20, 10 August 2013 (UTC)
Is there any way to fix this? Shadow (talk) 04:42, 11 August 2013 (UTC)
The only solution is to round each value in the obj, which can take up a lot of time manually. When I have time for it I will try to create an app that does the job.
kHacker35000vr (talk) 09:40, 11 August 2013 (UTC)

I have a question though. How is it that your copy of the KMP Modifier works, but mine does not? --Shadow (talk) 05:19, 24 November 2013 (UTC)

And how exactly doesn't it work? If it still is about the minimap, there is no workaround for it yet due the use of points instead of comma's in the US. The only workaround for now is somehow changing the PC settings. --kHacker35000vr (talk) 12:01, 24 November 2013 (UTC)

Hi khacker35000vr I had one question: Can I use the Dutch Translation from CTGP-R for Super Mario Kart Wii too? --Horsti12 (talk) 09:44, 31 August 2013 (UTC)

If you manage to make it work, sure. The translations are open for anyone --kHacker35000vr (talk) 10:52, 31 August 2013 (UTC)
