Page split for Volcanic Skyway II

State of the Art: There are different tracks, that were remade by the same author(s) or by other authors(s): Each remake of a original track (with some few exceptions) has an own page in this Wiiki for a good reason: An own page allows clearly dedicated discussions and bug logs. The history is also very clear.

Then we have a custom track made by A, and a remake made by B. Why not handle it like remakes of Nintendo tracks with a own page for each remake? Each page can have successor and predecessor links to the other page, so that every visitor can follow the creation progress.

Then we have remake of custom tracks by the same owner like Volcanic Skyway or Autumn Leavesway. So we have 2 or more branches with different characteristics that share the same name. Both branches get independent updates an some people like the old branches more than the new one. In my opinion, we should split the pages for all branches and give the new versions of the track a suffix like »II«.

Let's look from the position of a visitor, who doesn't know details about a track. He usually load the last version. With only one page he has never a chance to get a complete other track with the same name. But 2 pages show up the difference more clearly.

Now we have an example and can discuss it here!

If there'll be seperate pages, there should be a note at the top like some pages have: Not to be confused with x. Just, instead, with the info about the track being remade. The suffix II is also okay. Better than the numbers, in my eyes. There should also be a disambig. page with the original track name, that then links to version 1 and 2, etc. But that's probably not the most comfortable solution.
Personally, I think the best idea would be to have everything in one page, but more compact, the track overview of the old and new version in different sections of the overview, and 2 Misc-Info boxes, but one is named Track Name >>II<< and the other one just Track Name >>I<<. Good Example of this is how this page is currently structured: Northpole Slide (that format can also be improved). Then also have sperate version histories, as we currently see on Sky Beach. It's more compact to have it in one page, in my opinion, and you dont have to click between two pages, to see the differences.--Buschkling (talk) 19:55, 18 February 2018 (UTC)
I think each track with big updates or remake should have each own page. The structure of a page would be too complex if we would have everything on one page can also have the page clean. And also, there could also be updates to old version, and that currently doesn't work well in the version history. I think the page structure should simply be similar to retro tracks.

I don't think it's much of a problem. I feel more comfortable reading the current page of Northpole Slide or Sky Beach, than comparing this with the other Volcanic Skyway page. Also to view it from the view of a visitor: "Which version of the track did I just play?" - He clicks on the page, scrolls down until he finds it. Otherwise, he would have to switch back between every page of different versions, and compare one by one, until he finds it, which is more complex. There are many other tracks, that had bigger updates, but kept the same course layout. If every single update had its own page, it would make the Version History section completely useless and unneccesary.--Buschkling (talk) 20:12, 18 February 2018 (UTC)
About »I«: It's not usual to rename an old existing track/film/software from »NAME« to »NAME I« afterwards because a version 2 is born. The suffix »II« (I like it more than »2«) is only used too have a new and different name. Btw, we already some examples of a second version with own page: Snowy Circuit 2, DK Jungle Tour II, Strobenz Desert II, Cannon City II, Rezway II, Green Hill Zone II.
