Updating Death Star and fixing bugs

Can I release an update of your track Death Star. It's a really great track but I would like to do this because the track has the following bugs I want to fix to improve the track. According to the Wiiki Rules I need your permission to release an update. Here is a summary of the bugs I want to fix identified with Wiimms SZS Tools:

Minor bugs:

  • Lots of unnecessary BRRES files (probably left over from the track you stared with) removing these will shrink the size of the SZS file.

   - HINT: Additional file: ./FlagA2.brres
   - HINT: Additional file: ./castletree1.brres
   - HINT: Additional file: ./castletree2.brres
   - HINT: Additional file: ./choropu.brres
   - HINT: Additional file: ./cow.brres
   - HINT: Additional file: ./effect/choropu/rk_choropuMoko.breff
   - HINT: Additional file: ./effect/choropu/rk_choropuMoko.breft
   - HINT: Additional file: ./sun.brres
   - HINT: Additional file: ./windmill.brres
  • Missing a camera with type 0.
  • some coordinates of the enemy and item routs are outside the online limits - could cause problems on Wiimmfi.
  • respawn positions could do with general improvements.

Major bugs:

  • missing files - Will crash in gameplay. This happened to me while I was testing your course:

  • Image sizes not powers of 2 - causes texture glitches.
   + WARNING: TEX.RGB5A3 512x49: Image size not power of 2: ./course_model.brres/Textures(NW4R)/Material1
   + WARNING: TEX.RGB5A3 302x280: Image size not power of 2: ./course_model.brres/Textures(NW4R)/Material6
   + WARNING: TEX.RGB5A3 208x321: Image size not power of 2: ./course_model.brres/Textures(NW4R)/scenery_groundtex
  • Slow Motion Bug this is exacerbated by the above problem and textures will need to be resized to fix this.

You do not specifically need permission to release an update, but it is better that you do ask before releasing it. If Jimmy declines this, you can release it, but it should definitely be marked as an "unofficial update." Just to let you know. --KantoEpic (talk) 14:21, 17 June 2020 (UTC)

Out of interest where did you get the death star model from, I'm assuming you downloaded it of the internet. Also did you test this track on a real Wii or dolphin. Thanks --HackerCop (talk) 17:09, 18 June 2020 (UTC)

I got it from a 3D Models website. The original model was a lot bigger. The Size of the track now is only 1/20th the size that the original model was. I had to remove over 90% of the model which took way longer then I thought it would. And I tested this both on a Wii and Dolphin --JimmyKaz (talk) 17:49, 18 June 2020 (UTC)
