Lava Animation Help
Can someone show me how to animate lava? I followed the video so many times, yet no matter what I do it keeps crashing whenever I load the track... am I doing something wrong? -MmmBOI (talk) 03:07, 21 October 2018 (UTC)
- Use ~~~~ when using signatures. Anyways, blackscreens can be caused by a few things listed on the animations page, or if you saved the SZS file with BrawlBox. I'm not entirely sure what you did, though. --KantoEpic (talk) 03:15, 21 October 2018 (UTC)
Problem with importing textures with BrawlBox.
Hi, I have been trying to add a new PAT0 animation from BrawlBox to a texture hack I might be making. The main problem I am having with it is when I try to import a texture or a folder with textures after I right-click the image of the BRRES file in BrawlBox, it keeps throwing me an error. the texture sizes were 128x128, which seem to be power of 2. Although I am new to using BrawlBox. Could someone please tell me what is causing that problem in BrawlBox, help would be greatly appreciated. -- Octanevinny (talk) 9:13, 04 February 2021 (UTC)
- Whats the file extension of the texture you are trying to import. --HackerCop ❯❯❯ Talk 11:38, 4 February 2021 (UTC)
- I used the .png file earlier. -- Octanevinny (talk) 11:45, 04 February 2021 (UTC)
- Edit: It worked on BrawlCrate when I imported the textures. Might it be something to do with a bug in BrawlBox itself? -- Octanevinny (talk) 13:13, 04 February 2021 (UTC)
- BrawlBox is now quite outdated compared to BrawlCrate so chances are its a bug. Glad it worked. --HackerCop ❯❯❯ Talk 13:57, 4 February 2021 (UTC)
How do I change the color of water animations
Hello, how do I change the color of animations, I want to change the color of the sea in Coconut Mall for a texture hack but I cannot work out how to do it in BrawlCrate, There is no blue sea texture or anything, just black and white wave pattern textures that are used in the animation. How is it that the sea is blue then??? Did they use a material color or something, could someone please explain this to me please I would be very grateful. --HackerCop ❯❯❯ Talk 22:10, 11 March 2021 (UTC)
- Go to the material that handles the water. On the right panel, scroll down to Shader Color Block and there'll be 3 color slots. Those should be what control the color of the material. Here's what each entry in the material is for. The first entry is the the water texture. The second entry would be the indirect map, or displacement map which distorts the look of the water texture. This is what creates that wavy, ripple affect you'd see in-game. Then the bottom texture is what creates the shiny glow atop the surface that makes it look like the water is reflecting light. You can also change how the displacement map affects the water texture by swapping it out with another displacement map or altering the settings of it in the srt0 animation file. Not sure if this is explained too well but hopefully it'll help. TacoJosh (talk)
