Talk:AU The Skeld
Thoughts
I haven't seen this track, but I'm glad it exists, even if it becomes a meme. Mira HQ might not work well in MKW, but you can try! Elemental AKA Mr Apple Tramwau64 (talk) 14:42, 8 March 2021 (UTC)
Visual Issues (Alpha 1)
See video below:
This could potentially warrant a seizure warning on the track, due to this. These issues remain if you pause the game, and scroll through the buttons. I'm not sure if this also happens on Dolphin, someone else would probably need to test that. Tragiic (talk) 17:43, 8 March 2021 (UTC)
- I didn't assign a texture but i add a color, i think it's why it's looks like that, in dolphin it's not like that. --Unsigned comment by Doumdoum (talk).
- This might be caused by default material. If you make a tile default material, it will get the first texture assigned but it is unsure how it should have been uv-mapped so it glitches like that. KiwiPowerGreen (talk) 12:32, 9 March 2021 (UTC)
- The default material in Porcelain Speedway doesn't seem to glitch like that; it's just blue. Elemental AKA Mr Apple Tramwau64 (talk) 13:13, 9 March 2021 (UTC)

- Maybe your first texture is entirely blue? KiwiPowerGreen (talk) 08:24, 10 March 2021 (UTC)
Upscale Proposal for Alpha 5
In my testing, upscaling the track globally by x1.3 makes the entire track feel more like a track and less like an import. The navigation turns are much easier on all vehicles, going to the right in storage isn't impossible, the turn from upper engine into medbay hallway doesn't feel like you're about to hit a wall if you hold an MT, and the track feels less claustrophobic overall.
I would love to see this come out of Alpha sometime soon, with proper lighting and maybe some windows. I think it would also be interesting to see a shortcut from electrical to security, the tables becoming slightly slanted as ramps, reskinned penguins that look like crewmate models, etc.
Overall, though, the way this is imported actually makes for a very fun custom track, and I can't wait to see what you do with it.
